I've had this happen numerous times and just pop it back in as needed - ensure the weatherstrip part goes over the plastic part (and not beneath - otherwise it will continue to pop off).

The steering wheel has some play when you tighten the steering wheel bolt down. If it was centered with your old wheel (was it?), you should be able to center it with the new one.

Did you run new power wires for the JL?

If you have ACC .. the regular GT PP lower grill will NOT fit without modification as the sensor is in the upper right side of the lower grill. Not sure about the aftermarket grills being able to fit over the sensor or not.
