Drop in air-filter, but even then, if the mass air intake sensor fails, they could say it was the fault of a drop in filter if it's one of the oil ones (K&N, for example)
To that, based on my observations of the intake sensor, it's fairly consistently 6F warmer than ambient; you won't get that...
Missed something earlier;
OP had those pics texted to him *shortly* after dropping it off.
So, a dealership didn't have any queued up work, managed to perform an initial diagnose the issue that seems to randomly happen and not happen, then put it on a lift, drain the oil, remove the pan, and...
Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing any of that evidence in the pics posted by the OP. I think Ford just decided to punt and sell it to another buyer rather than replace the engine due to a shady dealership mechanic claim mixed with an owner blowing a loud trumpet...the cheaper option...
For...
No worries. Drag mode changes the rear differential gearing to 4:97:1 and forces you to skipshift 2/4/6 due to the more aggressive ratios, you can 1-2 shift because it's programmed to let you go into second...in case you forget.
Pics on page 1, I see a removed rod cap in a mechanic's hand, and a crank with the rod still in place in the engine, not a snapped rod. Unless I'm missing something...?
I agree in part; but I asked them after the first set didn't survive the trip to inspect them before shipping and to put them on a pallet or otherwise make it more difficult for UPS to mess them up. Declined, round 2. 3rd set and half were defective. Not sure of the ones I returned prior were...
On the wheels that I returned that had a wobble and a hop; the required a work order from the tire shop. The previous 8 wheels were chipped up and no requirement...meh.
AM is a hard sell for me going forward. I ordered a set of wheels, all arrived with ding-damage. Next set, similar damage. 3rd set, replacements are OK. Not perfect, but OK. Take them to the tire shop to have tires installed, 2 wheels aren't right, one with a wobble, one with a hop; the other...
Probably not covered as a number of things could have caused it to go out of alignment. To that, an alignment isn't really a 'need' item under most warranty items. Especially after 6K miles. Maybe if it was 600...but 6k is pushing it.
To that, you might be able to get a courtesy alignment...
It works just fine, I've yet to bother turning it off.
Will say as with any other rev-match downshifting, braking suffers a bit if you downshifting and brake at the same time... doesn't bite as hard as one would expect, meaning it takes a bit more force to stop quicker. Loss of vacuum when the...
Probably didn't get as aggressive pricing off sticker and/or paid higher interest rate and/or paid more for any extras (warranty/ext maintenance)
Dealers don't break even.
KBB will get ones hopes up.
Dealers use black book, which is an auction record of what cars sold for at auction. Options will swing it a bit, but figure your going up against bulk-buyers in the used car business and they have no inclination to pay attention to KBB.
Like saying Zillow is...
Carmax will give you a price you can negotiate with a dealer on trade in. Otherwise, that's relatively low miles for a 2015; as par would be around 15K/yr; so it should sell quickly. I'd just get a price from Carmax, then list it for that plus some to deal with tire-kickers and BS. Or, let...
Life's too short to read the whole post. Bottom line, if it doesn't do it for you, find a way to get something that does.
When I started this process and got my Mustang GT; I was considering trading out of my 2016 Sequoia and leasing a new Civic. The payment difference would be around $800/mo...
