Its oil change time again and I am thing about changing it up, right now I am using Motorcraft 5w50 but I am considering switching to something like Motul or Amsoil. Motul seems to have a incredible reputation in racing and wondering if anyone has used the oil that could pass along some feedback...
I have the same exhaust no cats and long tubes except I have the Corsa double x and no resonator. Mine isn't active but with the block off plates in its pretty quiet with them out its by far the loudest car I have ever owned and I have owned some loud cars.
I dont think that is a good indicator of low performance at all. Its a configurable kit if you wanna make all the power it seems possible to do. their g3 blower with the billet impeller looks like it would easily push 1k horsepower. on their own site they recommend it if going for over 900hp...
I think objectively there are some reasons, less metal, less machine time and, I think the biggest deal is that centri companies do not have to redesign their blowers any time a new motor comes out.
With your gear ratios 3.73 is fine. Also my opinion would be get the gen 5 stage 2 Whipple kit and if you wanna stick to straight 91 you can drop down to the 4in blower pulley for less boost. I put some Boostane in every fill up of 91 just to be safe.
from my understanding of Bill I'm pretty sure his background is actually ford based but like any tuner that tunes LS cars he gets a ton of LS based business since there are so many on the road. also he tuned what might be the fastest s550 in AZ it runs 7.80s not sure that I have seen anyone go...
That's a hard question to answer. power goals? are you doing the work or paying to get done? care about your warranty? Depending on power goals tires fuel system headers are a good idea.
