I do think that on a tight technical track like laguna seca the ZLE will come close. Honestly more interested to see how the base ZL1 and base GT500 do on a track like that than the track pack versions.
On any track where the GT500 can stretch its legs it will dominate the ZL1, IMO.
The previous GT3 RS tires are different. If you watch Camissa's video explaining all of their methods used in that comparison they specifically did not want the R compound tires that they normally use because it's a cheater tire.
It doesn't take anything away from the GT500 matching it on the...
You edited it after. :P I don't see why these mags don't test that way to truly shut everyone up, other than maybe the drivers not wanting to compete with each other for times.
I see the sandbagging comments from both camps and I call BS on both of them.
Arguing top speed is retarded since the GT500 will be so far ahead by the time they hit those speeds you will run out of room before the ZL1 catches up.
AFAIK the brake fade thing was a one time instance from one magazine test, and they noted the issue was no longer present the next time they...
I think you misconstrue a lack of rabid fanboy-ism, claiming everything that is *not* your car of choice to be *trash*, as hate towards the GT500.
That is not the case, as I've said time and time again that it's a badass car. If I defend the ZL1 it has nothing to do with the GT500, because they...
Agreed. Maybe some people live with roads that are perfect, but not here. They are not good back road cars either, the ZL1 handles those much better than the ZLE. Granted, a miata is better than both on some of them.
I'm sure some are trolling but a lot of us genuinely like the GT500 and what better place to discuss it than here? Most of the thread titles are comparing the GT500 to other cars.
Believe it or not some of us like both brands and even own both simultaneously. There are some Mustang owners/fans...
Well I suppose the GT500 is a quadruple threat.
Can't forget about the crowds... :D
Yeah, the insecurity is pretty weird. I haven't seen a ZL1 owner who didn't think the GT500 was the faster car.
When one has to trash talk the "other side" to make themselves feel better, I just pity that...
Triple threat doesn't mean it can't be beaten. It means it's a well rounded car that can do everything well. Which it does.
My bad, I thought you understood what we were talking about. Next time just raise your hand when you need help in class, OK?
I had discussed the low speed traction of the...
I certainly can, as have magazines that reviewed the ZL1 3 years ago.
Sorry that your ego/penis requires a car that can run 10's. I'm happy with my low 11 second car.
The ZL1 has been THE triple threat car for three years. Hardly a failure.
Your need to talk trash is pretty telling when it comes to your fragile ego.
Enjoy your mustang.
