I've had a few situations where a pristine car was hit/repaired and then was never the same - one never ran well again, and the others I could just always tell with the paint/body work that it had been hit - i'm a perfectionist when it comes to my cars and it always bugged me
The bottom line is that these parts DO fail - even if the percentage is small, is it worth the peace of mind to address the potential issue prior to making more power? For me, it is
I have my oil pump gears, crank gear, harmonic balancer, and head cooling mod sitting here waiting for install - gonna be as safe as I can be with this setup!
Uhh, yea, but in my old C6. I can't count how many times I merged onto the freeway and looked down to see I was over 100mph. That car made speed way too easily.
The mustang seems smoother, and certainly not as torquey. I'm hoping the blower will give me back the ability to frighten...
There's a subaru around here that says "U R A BUS"
I also saw another that was: I "heart" nsfw
Finally, there was a dude in a Benz and plate said "BIG WANG". When I pulled up next to him, it was an older Asian guy, so I'm assuming his last name is Wang - seems like the DMV would have flagged...
Nice. I figure, I spent $30k for a base auto GT - then I've put about 10k in mods into it now (blower, engine parts, exhaust, wheels/tires, few other things).
Next i'll do some suspension for about $2k, and brakes for about the same...I'll have a pretty insane car for the price of a well...
Yea, the premium interior is a must if you're gonna be spending a lot of time behind the wheel - I opted for the savings with the base because I rarely drive it, and I was going to be focusing more on speed than anything else.
Got my oil pump gear, Lower crank gear, harmonic balancer, and Head cooling mod from MMR!! Hope to have them installed, then do the blower by the end of August, realistically.
Nice! I hope my auto can be somwhere near that - I have the DW injectors, and res delete x with axle back - hoping for 600+ at the wheels with the stage II kit
Hello fellow FI guys - if I want to do my first oil change on this car at the same time I complete the Procharger install, what oil (and how much) do you guys recommend? Is it the same as advised by Ford, or should I switch to a better option now?
Thanks!
