You are right if it doesn'the have a super unique engine like the voodoo then this car will be a total failure and I will never buy GM products again. :D.
I don't hear it at all either. It looks really planted and comfortable on that track too. Also it sounds kind of like a tie fighter when it goes by in some of the clips - pretty cool. :D
With a simple tune from APR it is common to see the 16 golf R running a 0 to 60 of 3.9 seconds. The amazing thing about these German motors is that they always seem to be ridiculously tune able for very cheap. I think the mustang would win in a stock scenario though.
It would be cool because track enthusiasts would be able to dial the car in exactly how they want it - to their needs. I don't see how this wouldn't be ideal for a track focused car? The Z06 and ACR Viper both have it. Please explain why you think it is not a good idea?
Road and track has some videos up of the z28 at the ring. I don't hear any supercharger whine. Here is the link. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/videos/a29137/video-2017-camaro-z-28-testing-at-nurburgring/
Per GM: “You touch the paddle and the gear changes with immediacy,” said Link. “The shifts happen so quickly and without delay that it almost feels like an extension of your reflexes. It’s a much more involving experience for the driver that really helps improve confidence and performance on the...
Both parties get the same exact base transmission. The programming of said transmission and how it is tweaked will be up to each individual party (Ford and GM). The transmissions could possibly and most likely will behave completely differently from one another depending on the brand it is in...
It will be interesting to see the differences between the calibrations for each manufacturer. GM sure is putting out significantly more info out about this transmission than Ford is. I wonder why if it is 50/50 developed that GM seems to have more access and information about it being released.
I'm sure the GM engineers know what is needed when it comes to aero and are doing exactly what needs to be done. Would be cool if it is adjustable in its final form.
I am sure there will be different components involved than what could simply be added in a package. That spoiler almost looks motorized. I remember seeing pictures of the mules with the same spoiler just lower.
