  1. 2017 Ford Mustang will outperform Chevy Camaro in every way

You wont see any stock tired camaros running 1.6 sixty foots. You wont see C7's doing it in magazine tests either. If you don't 60' well in a stock car, you wont run a hero number.
  2. 2017 Ford Mustang will outperform Chevy Camaro in every way

Exactly. Something smells rotten in Denmark. Nearly matches a Z51 that is lighter, with more tire, better weight transfer, 5 more HP and more aerodynamic? I also get 470 flywheel with those weight numbers with an actual human behind the wheel. Who is driving, the incredible mass-less man?
  3. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Yeah, I'm an old bastard, but I still can bang gears when I need too! The amateur thing burned my ass. I'm going back to my hole and let them play with themselves some more.
  4. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Either that or they had a 50 mph tail wind.
  5. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Probably spun hard, cause boost was turned up, but mph don't lie.
  6. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Yeah, I see it all the time. I was running 9's with stroked 385's in supergas in 1984, 30+ years, everybody though I had NO2. Just a perfect tune and a light car.
  7. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

ET is wildly variable, speed is not. Traction does not affect the 1/4 speed, using ET is not accurate unless perfect gearing and perfect traction are present. 122 is bogus, somebody was jacking with the equipment.
  8. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

It takes a certain amount of force to accelerate a car to a speed in a certain distance, you know, like a dyno works..."Newton". If you spent some time at a track running your car, and were any good at it, you would understand the concept.
  9. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

50#'s one way or the other is only about 6 hp difference at those speeds. There are many calculators on the internet to check this, for example http://users.erols.com/srweiss/calchpm.htm
  10. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

I'm not ignoring anything. But rather than taking one result as gospel, I would be looking for more evidence than one magazine event, especially when they mention the cars were pulling power.
  11. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Its very easy to "tune up" a turbo car. 116 is also well over the rated horsepower, about 480.
  12. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

He used the term amateur to denigrate those drivers, to insinuate a "professional" magazine driver is a better resource to extract the most performance from a given car, or give a more accurate real world result, which is a load of horse shit.
  13. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Anyone know how much horsepower it takes to make a 3800 # + driver car run 122 mph in a quarter mile? About 560. That is a fact. How about the same car at 114 mph? About 457, another fact.
  14. 2015 5.0 and Ecoboost in this year's Car & Driver Lightning Lap

Plus a forged spray bore 5.2 Coyote with GT350 heads and a little more cam....475-480 horse.......gotta believe this is out there already.
  15. Painting the R wheels..Question

400 degrees F for 30 minutes, if you can charge the wheel, I don't think its (powder coat) a good idea.
  16. GT350 performance

It should be able to spank a stock Boss 302 and run even or just ahead of one with an exhaust and tune.
  17. GT350 vs. Z/28

Sorry, I miss read your quote. But rest assured, they are not pulling these guys engines to do a dyno test. Its not practical. You might see a tear down if someone contests your car. Rear wheel is more accurate for this instance anyway. A stock Boss will make about 380 to the wheels, with a...
  18. GT350 vs. Z/28

So, how bout you tell me where to get one of those 100 wheel horsepower ECU tunes for my Boss.
  19. Shelby GT350R-C first impressions @Mosport

Sure seems easier to just add a "test pipe" section than to bust out the ceramic, and reinforce the can, and then have an open chamber in the exhaust path. Thanks for looking that up.
  20. GT350 vs. Z/28

I wish my Boss would make 480 to the wheels with just a tune. Dont believe everything you read.
