I've also found the car really punishes you for getting into boost. I can get the average up around 25 for a day or two. But by the end of a tank I tend to end up at 22 give or take. I'm expecting it to improve as it gets more broken in and we lose the winter blend. 1100 miles here.
I just went out and easily fit three in the trunk with the seats folded down. Actually two of them had to sit pretty much in the passenger compartment but they fit. These are the 255/40r19 pp tires but there was definitely room for wider tires. Sorry for the crappy pics, phone was too dead for...
it would be interesting. if you were able to put one partially in the spare tire hold it might give you some extra room to fit two more in the trunk. I bet it's possible depending on width. When I go home today I'll see if I can fit 3 unmounted tires in the trunk, best I can do
awesome, definitely a selling point that it's plug and play. I really didn't want to cut anything. Ordered over the weekend, hopefully I'll catch a couple days of warm weather for the install.
$80? wow. I bought this little guy and it works pretty well, but my attachment options were about the same as yours so it just sit on the floor of the trunk, but I do have the trunk liner, so it doesn't move. I'll probably try and secure it at some point but for now it's ok enough...
it only loses power in the high RPMs and given the wintery conditions I wouldn't be getting much use out of that power anyways. also the car runs fine on 87, no issues, so that last line is just plain wrong.
mixed driving I'm having a hard time breaking 22mpg over the course of a tank with the 4 cylinder. Straight highway I can get up around 30, of course. But that's not real life. part of that 22mpg has to do with the winter gas I'm sure, but the turbo 4 really seems to punish you on the city...
.
highly Unlikely. This isn't ford official, likely just modeled after some still images making it more of a novelty. It can probably be used to make a cool 3d print though. There are tons of these on the pay sites like this an turbosquid. But I wouldn't trust it dimensionally. FYI there...
"Brake" used to be a type of chassis used to brake in horses. when hunting parties wanted a vehicle that could carry their guns and ammo, the had custom coachbuilders make what we called wagons, they called them shooting brakes. blame Britain.
I'm running 245/40r19 blizzak lm60's on the PP rims. The newer LM32's are probably a little better since they're the successor to the LM60. I haven't had any issues getting around. I will say though it stayed in the garage when it was really bad out monday, I have a pickup for days like that...
interesting, to add to the conjecture... if the GT350 comes in at ~540hp, the GT at 460-470, and the EB stays at 310 or so, I would think that might leave enough room in there for a v6 ecoboost. this is probably getting off topic, but I don't think they would want to have much of a performance...
if you can plan ahead you can cache the maps beforehand so you don't run into this problem. that said, definitely had this happen to me on my last trip to Montreal for the F1 race. As soon as we hit Canada it went to roaming and I'll be damned if I'm paying those rates. Rather be lost.
check to make sure the stock tire and wheel fits in the spare wheel well ok. It'll definitely stick high into the trunk, but also I noticed that the spare that I bought is significantly shorter than the oem 255/40r19s. so if the well is sized for the spare exactly, might not fit the larger full...
if you go onto the owner.ford.com site you can look up the recommended maintenance plan for your vehicle. I was amazed it was so minimal for the ecoboost. essentially oil and filters and inspection for the first 100k. then it was time to change out some of the fluids. Very minimal compared to...
The dealer I bought from got a lot of their cars with summer tires and seemed to have no regard for letting people test drive them without warning them first. Not sure if yours had them, but maybe.
