Scheduling is the primary thing. What the heck else is time contingent upon an order? Its getting the scheduled date. Thats where the hangups lie. The guy was asking how to get a car 3-4 weeks from your order date. Simplest way is to get a priority 1.
Yeah a dealer can infact get you a priority 1. They call up their Ford rep and certainly can get one ordered. They don't originate from outer space. If your dealer has sway with the Ford rep, you're golden. That's how I got my priority 1.
I haven't heard one person complain about acceleration with the 3.55 on an automatic, it feels quicker in the power band you use on a regular basis. That is acceleration to highway speeds or stop light races and even the quarter mile. Whereas I have heard tons and tons of complaints on the stock...
Like I said a premium how I would order it to make the premium justified. That includes the 401A package for me in addition plus some other minor stuff.
The Mustang can't slay any C7 in existance (and it would at best hang with the M4 with luck) so those license plates are fanciful dreams and dont make you look very good if you're the one with them on your car.
The real question is not if the premium package is nice, clearly its nice, the question is is it worth the $6000 variance from the base I ordered and the GT premium I would end up getting. And thats for something that has absolutely no performance extra from the base I am getting, and infact...
Coral grill = V6. Faux gas cap = played out. So for me, even those appearance items are things I think don't look good. For all of us S197 owners, the coral grill will always equate to the V6. The cheap Mustangs had those and the GTs did not, they had the quad headlights. Hard to change 10 years...
Yup he's in Michigan which is why. I ordered on 12/2, my car was built on the 15th and I would have gotten it today but there was a train delay. If I lived in MI I would have had it. So yes, if yall want build times like us, get a priority 1.
It will be all aluminum before long. The CAFE standards start raising 1 mpg every single year from now for the next decade. So they already have a full incremental roll out plan. Thats going to include aluminum increasing, 8 to 10 speeds for the auto, and eventually an end to GT sales. Its just...
That is such a stupid justification if that was the real reason from Ford which I doubt. They were always going to sell all the LEs they produced because they are making so few. And a PP package isnt some exclusive thing. Every single manual buyer gets the same PP thats on the LE. Does that make...
Speaking of anger and resentment over the Auto PP fiasco... :-) (Yes its a sore subject for me LOL). Ford couldn't even offer a frickin Brembo brake package for the autos this year as they have in years past when Autos couldnt get the track package but could get the Brembo package. I mean I...
Same here. Ordered really just to add the 3.55s because I couldn't find any in stock and yeah I would have paid for the PP too. I think most Auto people on these forums would have just like you see the overwhelming trend on the manual side of this forum are choosing the PP.
100% agreed with you on the Auto Performance Pack. That was a 100% BUSINESS AND MARKETING decision by Ford and a stupid one in my opinion. I mean the performance package for the automatic is already being produced and even puts in the 3.55 gears instead of the 3.73 the manuals get. This was a...
This package is like the polar opposite of the Performance Package. Its thousands of bucks worth of appearance junk that does nothing whatsoever for performance. The performance pack is thousands of dollars worth of straight performance and suspension upgrades. No surprise to me that most people...
I do take mine every few months especially in the summer to a detail shop for a hand wash and wax but that aint nothin like the car washes youre thinking of. These people use better products than even enthusiasts on forums use.
I would of course agree except to say that aint cruisin music for me. Thats blastin Aerosmith on the Shaker 1000 while gunning the engine and whippin the tail end out around corners and screetchin the tires music. Did it all day every day in my last gen Mustang :-)
