Washed her down before redlining it like a madman.
I wanted to bring the car and show off but my wife said no way to sitting in the Recaros at the Drive-In Theater for 6 hours . :cwl:
Issues can happen. My issue with the whole 'All GT350s can/will detonate' is that it's more than likely less than 1-5% off cars produced and anything from a Toyota Camry to a Maserati will have issues of some kind.
I am the second owner. I purchased the vehicle at 44.5k miles. I can send you whatever pics you'd like
Send me a DM and I'll give you my email etc for faster uploads.
Car is for sale.
I'm open to reasonable offers as well as parting the vehicle out.
It has not been driven in 3 weeks so the miles will stay as is.
Please message me with any questions.
I'm beginning to think half of the blown engine claims are the results of shitty driving or negligence.
I mean how can not one, but two engines grenade on you?
RedRuby and I have been sharing videos. He had the exact same sound and after ford checked his 350 out, they said it wS due to a fresh oil change.
The oil was changed 600mi ago. Levels are good. First thing I did was buy a JLT Catch Can. Almost nothing in there and the levels are still good. I...
After driving the car aggressively the past few days (don't always get to wring it out) I've noticed either the sound is non-existant or diminished.
I'm not burning oil. No grinding noises etc. The car shifts and runs perfectly.
I'm in agreement with some other members in that it's a racing...
Oh for sure. I ran it hard since the roads were empty at 5 AM and by the time I parked at work, it was whisper quiet.
Oil pressure was at 30 and temp 200 at idle. Pressure is solid (50-100) under throttle.
Car still drives like a dream. Even as it's getting colder out.
I drove it, did a walk around etc. I spent about a solid hour with it prior to buying it.
This came about roughly a week back and happens intermittently. In fact, it happened about when the Temps started dipping in MA.
Believe me, I wouldn't have just rushed into a large purchase just...
Called up the dealer I purchased it from. They claim to have used 5w50. Oil pressure and Temp is solid and I've already put over 500miles on the car in 2 weeks time.
The only time I notice the noise is at idle. Otherwise, it's rock solid.
I did leave a message with my local Ford to bring it...
Shit I was hoping I didn't have to go down that road. I'm gonna call my local ford and see if we can first do an oil change and then have them inspect the car at the same time.
It'll be between 60-100 when rowing gears.
At idle, it hangs at 50 and the temp at 200.
I have a regular mechanic that specializes in engines/transmissions. Should I get him to run it through the gauntlet?
The thing thing that trips me up is that the car drives amazingly well.
That's true too. I mean, I baby all my cars in the maintenence sense. I check the oil 2-3x a week on this one in particular; wait until 190+ to go nuts on the it etc.
I just hope all the YT bullshit is hype for likes and this thing last 1000s of miles like other members here.
