I hit the 1/8 mile a couple of nights ago with my newish D-1X/E85 setup and after several runs was informed that I need a roll bar in order to come back. I know that implies a 5-point harness, too.
This is strictly a weekend/fun street car that I hope to take to the track (both 1/8 and 1/4)...
I've heard it does. Haven't tried it myself. I think you can have a common chamber with all 4 sensors enclosed, and just put a shrader valve on the end and keep it at a low pressure.
They won't fit, at least that is what my research told me before buying. Once you see one in person you can see there is no room.
Someday I might make a "PVC container" (i.e., pipe bomb) for the trunk that I can put 4 sensors in and pressurize so the dash light doesn't come on. Just a weekend...
Just held on by the center bolt, and the cam locks side to side. The Procharger instructions provide a detailed sequence on locking everything down. Also, use blue Loctite!
Nope. The steel braided lines on either side don't let it move much or at all. I think I put some rubber tape on one side of the Y fitting itself where it could occasionally bump into the brake booster. But, for sure it cannot flop around; the line going from the Y to the LH rail is fairly short...
My single feed comes into the engine bay down under the brake booster, and the Y is right there. I've seen some people put it under the car, but then you have another whole line you have to fit through those areas going into the engine bay.
Mine has been good so far. I'll try to get some pics...
I'm lowered and have jacking rails. My jack just barely fits under the rails, so I can jack up one side at a time and put the car on 6" RaceRamp blocks. RaceRamps are awesome. From there it's just an oil change (drain plug and filter). I second the recommendation of a makeshift funnel for the...
I think with your badge on there it looks good and breaks up the large section of mesh. I am not sure it would look as clean if you went back to the three-section grille and still wanted to run the tri-bar pony. Not sure about the "aggressiveness," but I would vote for leaving it as is. Looks...
Hmm...it looks very nice, but I don’t think I want something MORE aggressive than the RTR. My concern about the RTR is if it would look okay without a big-ish wing, etc., in the rear to balance it out. Not that I couldn’t add a wing...
I may be coming around on the RTR. Just trying to think a...
Just getting going with this car after a lot of work this winter. I'm set up on Weld RT-S bigs and littles, so obviously a straight line car. This is a base model, but I installed a premium bumper right after I bought it in Nov. I think I want to get rid of the white diffuser, but I am not sure...
Just to close the loop here, I will answer my own questions based on what I ended up doing (fuel system is done now and running).
(1) I left the big connector under the seal and I ran the (4) leads through the grommet in the center of the large seal.
(2) I grounded just like the OP showed...
All makes sense. So based on all of this I am certain I left some amount of gas in the pass. side of my tank, but based on the 15 gallons I was able to put in afterwards, it could not have been a lot. (I'm assuming I sloshed some over to the LH side as I was lifting the car onto blocks.)
I may...
This is an interesting topic that no one talks much about! I looked into this a bit yesterday as I was working on draining 93 out of my car. I came to many of the same conclusions as phunk explained (great post!).
One question I still have is how does the level sender system work from both...
