I know the aftermarket rim manufacturers like to tought lighter, which is OK, but it would interesting to find/know percentages of where the weight savings are physically in the wheel.

Another function of newer hood liner is, during an engine fire the plastic push pins will melt and the liner will fall over the engine to help smother the fire. Back in the nineties some Ford and other companies had liners that had a really nice laminated surface over the liner. Really looked...

5.0 fender and GT trunk, I see some listed as black or gloss black that look more like semi gloss black, some with white self adhesive, some without the guide pins? I want GLOSS black, with black adhesive tape, and the guide pins. Oh yeah, they have to fit properly too!!!!

I think the guy said they have dark gray as well, not sure of shade of gray though. They guy mentioned that the lead weights are being phased out. Environmental and health concerns.

I had mine balanced today at a Goodyear shop. Seems many/most of them in my area have black wheel weights, as I had my pick of nearby Goodyear shops, based on which could get it done the soonest. They are nice, definitely don't stick out like a sore thumb!!

Looks like your car sat on the lot under an old steel lot light. Water dripping down from the light onto your car. Or parked next to a fence that was leaning over the car. I have see both situations in the past. A good retailer may be able to remove the stains I think there are products...

Has anyone had experiences with any black wheel weights? I see them listed on eBay, they are steel rather than lead which should not make a functional difference. They are also high zinc content for corrosion resistance. I see some listed as epoxy double coat paint and others as powder coated...
