Congrats on the SE, that's very cool. The mechanical on my KR took about the same about of time, and then the real wait started...paint š . Love seeing more Shelby vehicles on the forum
You definitely have some choice in options beyond the standard stuff that comes with the package you choose. @Jmeo is definitely the expert on that as his car has been through Shelby American twice now. Code Orange looks awesome by the way. That would have been an alternative contender for me in...
Negative. They are the āvariantā ones that are listed on the website, so the exposed carbon that should match the rear wing. As I mentioned, my photography skills arenāt doing them justice.
Having said that, the areas immediately around the openings on the vertical parts of the uprights do show...
I just received my BTI uprights. Great communication from Brett and the uprights looks great. They were shipped via USPS and packaged very securely. He even put them in some velvet type bags to protect the finish during shipping. My pictures wonāt do them justice, as compared to the OP. Looking...
Went ahead and ordered a set of the "variant" this morning. Won't be able to install them until my car gets back from Shelby. But I think the OP's photos do them justice already.
The finish and the amount of choices are quite cool. And you're definitely right, the Hyperion ones go in a much different direction. I'm not a huge fan of super tall wings, so I think the Aerodinamica uprights offer a better balance of added height, looks, and better protection from water...
Great write up and photos. I'm curious how these uprights compare to the Hyperion ones. I've still got the OEM ones on my car and have been thinking about upgrading. It looks like the Hyperion ones are a little taller, but these have a much beefier base?
This is correct to my knowledge. I know someone whoās owned a few Shelby F-150s. Theyāve been sold on the lot as a Shelby vehicle, but they have to get sent out after purchase to get the supercharger installed. Usually a few week delay between purchase and taking delivery.
Quite palpable, yes sir. There was .01 % of my brain that was hoping the tour guide might bend the rules since it was 4:40 pm and there was no one around š¤£. One interesting thing I did learn during the tour is that those insane Code Reds theyāre building arenāt allowed to be sold in California...
Thanks. Itāll be even more amazing when I can get an up close picture! I chose to not jump over the wall onto the factory floor. Didnāt feel like getting arrested today š
Ended up with a day trip to Vegas today; the life of a charter pilot. So I of course took the chance to walk around the Shelby museumā¦.and to check in on my car š. Sheās still hiding amongst everything, but definitely mechanically done. Also, look at those exhaust tips!
