thats the push i needed, thanks bikeman! lol @Jerry Carguy if i take em off ill try and save them to send to ya. No idea when/if but the hampsters running now. ill keep you posted.
thanks for kicking this up... the one thing i dont love about my stang... that damn side stripe.... like i mentioned in another thread, if it didnt have vintage significance for this package it would have already been gone. im now contemplating it again, thanks! lol
ok, well that does seem to make a difference, at least imo since the stockers were cracking and popping at higher volumes so you should be good there.
I wired in a LOC for my amp from the rear deck speakers. tapped into under the speaker shelf wire loom. ( Some say this is not required...
2 12s with some decent power will probably way over power the stock speakers/set up. for the type of music you listed, i might even check for 10 inch subs.
just finished upgrading my stereo, added a amp & sub ( had a JL 12 but it went bad so I replaced with a rockford 12) similar specs...
that's actually awesome to hear as I've been very satisfied with the speaker upgrade thus far. Been rocking it loud and very impressed with how much changed, its crazy Ford calls that a premium set up from factory.
I have the forscan ready to go but I havent pulled the trigger yet since I...
it chirps but im hangin each gear out, 7k shifts. its pretty much always in normal drive mode with TC. It dont get wild, its a quick chirp but 3rd is hard to get sometimes. i wonder if its the 87 vs 93???
That was a good convo starter thread man... i filled up yesterday at a quick check, not sure what "tier" gas that is but 93 was 5.23/g. sucked but i left there banging 1,2,3 and it felt great :)
its all geo political BS around the world taking blame, theres plenty of oil / reserves....
So after a few weeks of the new set up in the doors, i will say that i am pleased with the upgrade. The popping and crackling is gone and the sound is much cleaner. So much so that i wanted to see what the rear speaker change would do....that being said
I finally decided to dive into the rear...
ah man, thats quite the pickle to be in. while i think all 3 cars sound like good options, the prior florida rental car thing would probably push me from that in particular. I wonder how hard those rented miles were on it? Or maybe it had an easy life. No way to really know.
Good luck...
that's a really sweet model kit! Intriguing as I've only ever put together plastic kits... this site and community can def rub off some bad influences.....now you got me thinking of spending loot for a "Die Cast" model.
i like the placement of the 22 GT/CS decals vs the 21. I've been on the fence about removing them on mine as well. However, as easy as it to remove them, I feel like im stripping part of the "c/s" package that... we paid a premium for. One day the wind might blow in the right direction...
i think that might be why seller states its pretty much just a show car or at least built for show purposes rather than driving/racing purposes. I'd love to own it if i had those kind of deep pockets.
similarly checking the market and all i can say is this is the most fd I've seen in my lifetime. My dad tells me this happened in the 70s with the gas crisis but this is much larger global scale from then. things are stalling, interest rates are going up. personally, I'll wait till all the...
From what i read, apparently the b & o falls short for what some people would expect from the premo grade radio.
Tbh, i dont need a killer set up but i still needed to feel the music if u get what i mean. The couple hundred into this upgrade is well worth it imo. Adding a sub alone did wonders...
Hey Mike, no i have not disabled the factory A pillar tweets yet... I was going to put the PB tweets in but after more reading and coming to find they are probably not that necessary, will just leave them alone for the time being. so far, the few minutes in it yesterday i felt like the...
I made some progress this week and finally wrapped up the front doors yesterday. Everything installed with no isssues. I was able to add 3 sheets of deadener to each door, that seems to have made a decent impact. The doors have a more solid feel to them now. From only a few minutes of...
