Or you can wait for the gt-350 manifold to start becoming available and played with to see if that will do similar to what the boss does...
the boss is just the cheapest way to go currently if that rev range is what you want.
Boss mani - $500
mounts - $150-210
tune - $400-600 depending who/what...
Nope, nothing to do with craigsix's choice of car... that particular hemi cam and rev range stock has better power delivery through the lower shift points craigsix decided to experiment with. If he decided to cam up his hemi, then shifting later would have let him be in a better power band...
Mr.Black reference is probably enough insurance for it to not be an issue, and the standard timing gear may hold up fine too at standard road use of occasionally using all the rpm available... I stated those as a preferred insurance in my own opinion on reading up on things. As most things out...
Not difficult at all... loosen a couple bolts per side on original mounts, properly jack up or hoist motor/drivetrain upward enough to then completely remove the two mounts and replace with new mounts of choice set to lowest shimmed position, lower drivetrain back onto frame/mounts, re-tighten...
5.0yeah - I think things definitely got clouded up out here with some not quite so smooth literary usage and emotion on a few sides... your goal of making a bit more power into higher rpms isn't tough at all, a few have already done it in the s550.
Simplify things down a bit and all you need...
400cpi cats seem to be the sweet spot to mimic the oem enough keeping away CEL on these later obd so far... Tundra and last gen M3 (both dohc v8s) with 400cpi also seem to run without triggering the CEL. But the mandrel bending shop I have used for a few things has seen going below that...
I'd put that BS right up there with enhancing "engine" sound via a pipe or the stereo... quite a hilarious novelty that serves no actual performance purpose.
Sounds cool, and nice of Lund to offer it free... but people bitchin' because they can't get a free tune on another device yet, bought...
So I see dyno numbers for the headers only on OEM exhaust, and cat-back only on OEM headers... both numbers seem reasonable, and I really like the exhaust design (had a similar design mapped out for my e93, I figured the long H way back would help tailor the sound a little too)
Did you guys also...
Aaaah, now I'm seeing clear-er DickR... the whole top half mount circle popped right off, leaving only the bottom circle half and ears attached to car. So the rubber mount comes encased in the mount, with the top thin section bearing all that load? That is insane, as the bottom circular section...
yes, really tough pads will chew up rotors... but you should not be going to full-on track pads on your next change unless you're tracking the car regularly.
do a street combo pad from a good pad company first, then try a driver's ed event at a road course or even autocross to see if you really...
this will just be a good test of her... might as well push those spending button limits now while you're still in the engaged zone before seeing how that goes in the marriage zone. ;)
like suggested, you'll get a tad more return on selling your current gear while it's still in good shape as...
heck no! I am suggesting augmentation of the rubber mount with the specific load-baring washer, to spread what looks like a small area of stress at the center of the shaft hole and the center of the rubber mount across the whole circular area of the mount.
So take the shock, slide the washer...
Looks like and extra upper shock mount washer may be an easy initial upgrade to spread the load around circle of the mount face at least... something similar to these bmw 318 upper washers with the heavier thickness towards shaft center may help.
part # 33 52 1 092 363 for $2 each is worth a...
285 still not optimum for 9" wide wheels... not saying they won't fit on there physically by any means, and may have a decent service life, but these aren't 4x4 trucks with large sidewalls to keep the tread face flat on the road, so a 285 as recommended by most manufacturers fits a 10"...
