dennis,
congrats on a 2nd time around for MOTM. there's not a build more deserving.
a pleasure to drive beside ya on one of your legendary organized cruises! you are awesome my friend!!!
you want a stage 2.
stage 2 includes 72 lb injectors and upgraded 132 mm throttle body. most that throw it on a dyno are at high 600s to 720 whp. on their canned tune (flight control)
suggest upgraded heat exchanger but it's not necessary.
a stage 1 is normally 640-660 whp.
if while coasting and accelerating--not braking. most likely it's tires out of balance.
if tires are balanced something worn/torn/broken in front end of the suspension.
if when braking brake rotors are warped.
if still persists after need to diag further. most likely something i've...
whats needed is a fuel system, larger injector and a tune.
on e85 engine runs cooler and easier--pending how it's driven of course but cost for fuel system and reduced MPG are a factor
do it my friend! worth every lil bit
it's a blast every time the hammer is dropped. hopefully built and...
1200 whp and looking for reliability without mention of a a built motor (sleeved)
if it's sleeved/reinforced rock on :headbang:
i just made 800+ on a stock and hoping it lasts a little while. unless funds are avail or if it blows or another motor on a stand, maybe do alil more research...
stock engine capability would go whipple.
here's my 91 pump gas 16 degrees 707/560 only revving to 7000 rpm
e85 map 20 degrees revs less than 7200 with conservative timing to both tunes.778/598
went back to the dyno 22 degrees more timing and 200 rpm made 804/609 @7400 rpm SAE
numbers...
if i were using meth i would add for cooling only--if your ace for removing knock there's a problem with the tune and its just a band aid.
yes there are fail safes in systems and some work very well. but an everyday street car i wouldn't tune with meth as a fuel.
In a race car or race...
intake header and exhaust with pump gas tune netted me 420 whp. should be enough for a supercharged 4.6. when ya get the supercharger headers and exhaust and tuner can stay.
as mentioned proper driving and a sticky tire should pull that car. wait first and try. unless want to mod anyways. all...
Mr. carb sticker man. you know my setup.
uses a CJMotorsports whipple s550 specific kit with ID1050x injectors.

this is what the car made on 16 degrees on timing pump gas 91 @ 7000 rpm
and e85 @ 7200 rpm 20 degrees as well. timing on last nites dyno was 22 degrees @ 7400
i actually tuned on vegas e85 which tested 68%. i brought my own jugs from local station in Los angeles and it tested to 85%.
my tune is completely clean zero knock or PCM is not kicking any timing. so losing an engine to tune related is unlikely. just hope no mechanical failure and rods live...
i rather keep it simple and safer as you mentioned.
i live 3 miles from an e85 station and only flash 91 when long road trips (vegas or bay area)
just hope battery doesnt die when flashing--that would be no good.
