I know I'll probably get a ton of hate for this but I did the same with my 93 notch. Running a 5.3 out of a 06 GMC truck with PAC 1218 Valve springs/76mm turbo/ 80lb injectors/Walbro 400, 4L80 trans, and megasquirt running the show. I just couldn't get the power for the same price out of a...
Had a 98 Convertible Cobra (basically the same as a 96). Loved that car it was a black car/top and saddle leather interior. Total of 61 made in 98 with that color combo.
Was SC'd, Pro-M Mass air tuned for 60lb injectors, Mac long tubes and offroad h-pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters, Maximum...
Forgive me if this one has already been posted but this has to be one of the most gnarly runs I've seen on a POV video. The driver availability of revs in this car is evident as the driver uses maybe 2 gears in this video and I'm not sure he even shifts for most of it, so much for the over-rev...
I recently read on another site that the over-rev feature was incorrect and it was a holdover in the info from the GT500. Did the Ford team confirm the feature at this event. I saw a revised PDF with no mention of over-rev. I'll see if I can dig it up.
Edit:found it...
According to the release video I saw in 06 he was a consultant, so maybe he had input, but the engineering is ALL Ford. Maybe they just said he was to save ego's in the Shelby camp. Still, that was the first one as in the 2007 MY, I believe since then till his death he had pretty much 0% to do...
No, they are all built and completed in the Ford plant, and the engines are built in a Ford plant. Shelby America has zero to do with any of the Shelby cars coming from Ford. It would be ridiculous for Ford to build the cars in Michigan, ship them to Vegas, and then ship them back to Michigan...
I enjoyed watching Cindric setup the pass on the RumBum Porsche (even though we missed the actual pass). You could tell the GT350 was faster, it looked like the 2 cars were attached to each other in the straights and in the corners....literally no daylight between the two frontrunners, Cindric...
When I went back to college for a career change in 2006 I worked for a military and aerospace "fastener" company to try and leave school debt free. Basically we sold the bolts, rivets, inserts, nut plates etc as well as a host of hydraulic items that you would find on any military or aerospace...
Actually I couldn't agree more, although I've seen some nasty titanium failures that didn't "soft" fail,,,,still I don't see any titanium products coming our way we need to worry about. From what I understand when titanium work hardens it becomes pretty damn brittle. I will say that knowing my...
I've been riding a CF Felt F3 since 2007, no problems and I've had a few ugly spills at excessive speeds. I've got thousands of miles on it and I added a CF seat post in 2008 (my Felt post kept slipping, like it was undersized) that's 100% CF and not wrapped over a metal core for looks. I...
And the two problems with the power in that motor were poorly cast intakes by the vendor and a last second exhaust change to better accommodate the IRS which was also last minute that completely choked the motor. Ford was under that hack Jack Nasser at the time and the company was lets say run...
