  1. Potential oil cooler failure - Aug 2017 shadow edition

There are lots of work arounds for this but I have yet to see any real explanations as to how the system works. Also most ways of doing it could cause potential further issues... these are just my thoughts and may be wrong... As I see it the RHD system uses a aluminium oil “manifold” which is...
  2. Can modifications cause finance contract breach

I have mine on Ford PCP. I asked before I signed and was told by the salesman that mods were allowed. He basically said that if it was minor and did not devalue the car then it was ok. Or you would have to put it back to standard if there were any issues at the end of the term. I am planning...

You will love it With regards to covers... they can work but can also cause there own problems. Ideally the car needs to be dry before covering and certainly needs to be clean. Even in the summer the car will get covered in dust after a few days of use. So you are stuck with having to wash...
  4. Mustang Has Attracted The Wrong Kind Of Attention!!

Not trying to start an argument but you would be surprised at how forensics don’t really work like that. A slightly damp surface or a surface that has any texture will prevent prints being left. Most metal or plastic on cars over night becomes damp as the temperature changes meaning no prints...
  5. Mustang Has Attracted The Wrong Kind Of Attention!!

Not sure what you expect them to do? Mount a surveillance operation 24/7 in case they come back? Or somehow ID them from that footage? Or be everywhere at once so they see everything. This happens day in day out thousands of times all over the country. No resources/funds to tackle it or any...
  6. Touch up paint

Have you asked? Mine didn’t come up on the site but the colour code was listed against other fords. An email to them was replied to the same day confirming that they could supply it.
  7. Touch up paint

Guys use Drcolourchip. It’s amazing stuff. Watch the videos and look at the reviews. I was sceptical but it’s so much better then a blob of touch up paint. No one can even find the chips on mine unless I point them out. One of those products which really lives up to the hype! Mine is magnetic...
  8. First service prices? £310?!

Fair enough, sounds like more inconsistency then.
  9. First service prices? £310?!

It is because it’s not a “Ford Store”? My local Ford store send all Mustangs and ST’s to a separate garage to any other Fords. As only Ford stores sell them maybe Ford advise the same for servicing?
  10. First service prices? £310?!

We are not stupid.... but equally of course the customer is going to complain about price increases and try to get the best deal they can. The dealers making money is their agenda, not mine as the customer. I have no personal interest in lining their pockets and nore should I. I do on the other...
  11. First service prices? £310?!

I guess it depends on your dealer/service centre. Some might keep their prices more stable and therefore you don’t really save much. In the case of mine it would have certainly paid off.
  12. First service prices? £310?!

Well having been told when I purchased the car that the individual prices were: 1 year £220 2 year £270 3 year £220 And it would have been even cheaper to have purchased a service plan but i chose not to. Now having paid £287 for the first service it’s clear I would have already saved more...
  13. First service prices? £310?!

Well it wasn’t £220.... but it wasn’t £310 either... it was £287. I have no idea how the prices change so much.
  14. First service prices? £310?!

Cheers guys, surely they must have quoted the wrong price based on what you have all paid. I wanted a few other examples so cheers for posting before I question it on Tuesday!
  15. First service prices? £310?!

I would happily do it myself if it weren’t for warranty! Yeah I guess non main dealer is an option, just a shame not to stay with where I purchased it.
  16. First service prices? £310?!

Hey, just wondered what people are paying for a first service? When I purchased my GT last March I asked everything before I signed on the dotted line including service costs. I was told ÂŁ220 first year, ÂŁ270 second year, ÂŁ220 third year. Expensive but to be expected really. On booking my...
  17. Standard UK GT Wheel width and offset?

    Thank you!
  18. Standard UK GT Wheel width and offset?

Hi guys and girls, just a quick simple question. What is the width and offset of the front and rear wheels on the 2015-17 UK GT's? I know the tyres are 255/40/19 front and 275/40/19 rear but what about rim width in inches and offset in mm ? Googling just comes up with US specs and all the...
  19. Ford Underseal fix...... disappointed.

So I went in on Monday and expressed my concerns. I was told that it may take two weeks to dry but that the products never fully dry. I said that I had read various accounts from people saying the stuff stays wet to which there was no answer. I asked what I was supposed to do driving it in the...
  20. Ford Underseal fix...... disappointed.

I am willing to bet that there will either be no underseal or a bodge job.... I have got under the car and made a video today. It's still just as wet and no signs of drying off. I think its only fair to raise the matter with Ford Monday and then I will post the video.
