  1. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Bought a pair of ZL1 fender rock guards off of SchnellGT350 and added them to the steed.
  2. Car started SMOKING, then bucking a little, now wrench light...

I wouldn't run water only in my 350 year around but I also wouldn't worry about having it in there for a few months. There are far greater hazards to the mighty steed on the freeway (read: dipshit texting drivers) than those posed by water in the cooling system.
  3. Car started SMOKING, then bucking a little, now wrench light...

The radiator fluid discussion got the noodle wrapped around thermo kinetics of water vs ethylene glycol (EG). As previously noted, track cars run just fine on water only in the cooling system. Same goes with water cooled shifter karts- EG is not what you want laid down on the track. In fact...
  4. Car started SMOKING, then bucking a little, now wrench light...

They’re lucky you didn’t wreck…an injury attorney’s wet dream. Glad you didn’t but could have been ugly. When my brother’s F250 diesel grenanded with 6k miles, the dealer said they’d rebuild it. He told them he paid for a factory built truck, not a reassembled one by who knows who. They...
  5. GT 350 R LONG TERM VALUE

Rolled in late to this party...very interesting discussion among passionate enthusiasts. I toiled with the cost difference and ultimately went with a straight 350 knowing full well that ditching those 35 lb wheels (made in CHINA) would be the easiest way to enhance the performance aspect. SoCal...
  6. Piss poor job washing my car, and it showed… 1st wash of the season

Gotta toss in a couple cents worth on probably the greatest benefit of laying down ceramic- it is extremely hydrophobic and water runs off it like mercury from the busted thermometer ran off the kitchen table. I wasn't a fan of using a blower to dry the car until I experienced how easy it is...
  7. CarPro Blackout Tire/Rubber coating

Quick update on the Blackout. I applied it to the SQ5 Pirellis about 2 months ago and the tires are already turning brown. Car sees a few hours of daylight every day. The cars not exposed to the sun still have great looking tires that got the Blackout, but I was truly hoping for greater...
  8. Dark Horse at Dealership

Similar car rental story here- went to Atlanta last month and grabbed a 4 banger Mustang from Hertz. It was late at night and I had an hour drive to familiarize myself with the whole affair. A few observations- The iPad style dash didn't perturb me as much as I thought it would. It was...
  9. California GT350 ZL1 Addons Rock Guards

Still avail? What's shipped price to 92120? I'll take 'em. Thx.
  10. Car started SMOKING, then bucking a little, now wrench light...

Hopped on the forum for some brain candy and down the rabbit hole I went with this thread. Sorry to hear about this Charlie Foxtrot that has stolen the pleasure of your fine steed. As for the oil/dipstick photos, the dipstick in the 5.2 engine has been my #1 pet peeve. My 350 will show oil on...
  11. Stock 350 and gas options, couple questions

thread revival...looking for more input on Boostane (who runs it, how often, etc). We don't have 93 in the southern most portion of Commiefornia so looking to add per Boostane's mix chart .13 oz / gallon of 91 to get it to 93. So a couple oz of Boostane Professional for a full tank is only a...
  12. Resonator Delete?

LTH X Pipe res delete section creates that look you had in high school when you and your girlfriend found a backseat to frolic in during lunch and it made your English teacher wonder WTF you've been up to.... The start-up song is about 5dB louder (remember that dB's are log scale...which means...
  13. GT 350 CATCH CAN/ OIL SEPERATOR

Does anyone know the FP pax side catch can capacity?
  14. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Dropped a FP badge under the hood and added some color to the GT350 badges.
  15. Modern Muscle Monoblock Forged Wheels for Mustang GT, Mach 1, GT350, GT500 19" 20" - Light weight & Concave Design

If that wasn't AI generated feedback, I don't know what is...
  16. Modern Muscle Monoblock Forged Wheels for Mustang GT, Mach 1, GT350, GT500 19" 20" - Light weight & Concave Design

Hopped on over to your website to see the different wheels you offer. Not all descriptions note whether the price is for 4 wheels or just one. And it would also help if you noted the specific attributes of each wheel (size/offset/weight..."around 24-27 lbs" doesn't help much).
  17. Wheel nut issues

Manual says you must retorque after driving. Orig nuts are 2 piece and get ruined by gorillas with a gorilla gun. You’ll know it when the socket gets stuck on the nuts (or nuts stuck in the socket but that just doesn’t sound right). I swapped out for Gorilla Nutz and no problemos.
  18. I am on the verge of selling my Mustang guys...

There was another thread around these parts that I stumbled on after getting my 350 last Nov. It spoke to the 'sterility' of the BMW engine feedback loop. No induction sound, a lackluster exhaust, and essentially on the other end of the bell curve of excitement alongside EV's for driver...
  19. DIY Alignments?

Yeah…I tried a thin steel plate grease sandwich and all it did was twist both plates and gall the finish on my lift runners (so it didn’t work for me on a finished/powdercoated surface; may work on raw concrete finish…YMMV).
  20. DIY Alignments?

Surprised nobody has mentioned alignment turn plates. I found it a PITA binding up the suspension with adjustments, raising the car to release, then rolling back and forth to settle the suspension. Got a set of these and they cut the time down dramatically on my German steeds. Have yet to try...
