If you back the OEM drain plug out slowly you can control the outflow. It takes a few extra minutes to drain but there is no fire hose effect and zero mess. I saw no reason to replace the drain plug and I've looked everywhere and can't find where it says it's a single-use item in my owners...
If you don't mind wrenching a little you could swap the #6 coil with another coil. If the problem is solid and the coil is at fault the problem should follow the bad coil and it will throw a different fault code. Those coils aren't cheap...
StangTime is correct. The extension neck uses the same threading as the filler cap. When the new valve cover comes in tell them to pop it off of that part and it will screw right on to your existing valve cover. I've had mine off so I speak from experience. Sounds to me like the service...
The single horn reminds me of a circus clown! I installed the dual horns and I'm much happier with it. The install takes some dexterity if you do it without removing any other parts but it can be done with patience...
Looks like you landed a beauty! A bone-stock PP1 GT is a great place to be! Not many can hang with her. The only mods I've done on my '19 are some Steeda jacking rails and also their IRS subframe support braces (P/N 555 5754). Both are bolt ons with no drilling or need to fab anything. The rails...
Congrats on your new pony! A couple of comments from this thread: As far as the brakes go, if you got the PP1 you don't need to upgrade. They are the same brakes as on the PP2 car and guys track them regularly. You can experiment with pads for a particular application and Steeda makes some nice...
It should be easy to verify if they screwed up the spacers. If the spacers are where they should be and assuming they did a competent balancing job (did you see them do the balancing?) you might have a problem with the tire itself. Possibly a belt issue in one of the tires, though unlikely with...
A bit off of the '18-'19 topic but when I did a 5-spd to 6-spd swap on my 2001 cobra (IRS) I had to change the DS and pinion flange. I went with a Ford Racing aluminum and had a vibe when finished. I indexed the shaft/flange and on the 3rd (and final) attempt I hit the balance point. It was a...
Good points Diocletian. Blood pressure is lower when I take the jalopy (2001 Stang). Not sure what makes people park next to you when you're away from everyone else. Do they just like the car? Being a turkey? Who knows but when that happens you have to do the walk around to make sure you didn't...
Another vote for battery issue. I've had the same crazy stuff happen when the battery started to go bad. The thing to remember is things that have low current draw might still work like the lights that still flash. If a cell has shorted you lose the ability to deliver higher current flow. If you...
Looks like your wheel got cosmetic damage so I'd make sure that gets replaced and take a close look at that tire as well. It might have some sidewall issues. Hope you get what you want one way or another.
My brother test drove 2 2019 GTs back to back at a dealership because he didn't think the first one was up to the advertised performance. The second was very noticeably quicker to him. He mentioned it to the salesmen and they didn't believe him so they took a ride, making sure the modes were the...
Seems like Ford has to do something in the engine department to entice 2018/2019 owners to jump to a 2020. I'm thinking a new tune to 490 HP, maybe with some parts, and then they make the package a performance upgrade to 2018/2019 owners. But then Bullitt needs a tune to 500 ponies... After the...
I agree that he's just white-knuckling the wheel. He knows he's heading off. The guy in the black Mitsu before him has his arm the same way. I've only tracked a half-dozen times but it's always been windows down when running. These guys have windows up, enjoying a little music.
