That sounds like that's gonna be a rocket. Not intended to discourage you man, just elaborating on my reality in particularly. May not be a bad idea to send that clutch in and have it upgraded for the stage 3. As it's suppose to hold over 1000 from what it's rated at least. I'd recommend doing that.
IMO I'd dive off immediately into the Stage 3 if you're gonna go vengeance and plan to make that type of power. Or go with McLeod from the get go. Car shifted like butter when I had the clutch in it before the issues, it just didn't hold up long for me.
I am most certain I did, actually waited the full 1000 mile. 985 Something if I am being specific, then after never gave the car excessively hard launches. Never even got the opportunity to take the car to the track before it started having troubles. Mostly saw rolls which it felt initially like...
I honestly was in denial that it was the clutch for the longest because of the reputation behind them, my initial experience, + the usage and minimal abuse. Not bashing the guys by any means but just sharing my experience as it's not all cookies and cream from what the rest of the internet is...
Just wanting to chime in and add my 2 cents on my experience with Vengeance. Mods in description, I've had the clutch for about 8 months of mostly light driving with light to light pulls. No hard dumps, or launches. Initially the clutch felt great with day to day driving and under power, I put...
Ceramic twin disk. I had the LPX-HD in my car, and IMO the vengeance is much smoother and feels better with overall drivability in the car. Only had 800 miles on it but from what I could see is it held power well.
Honestly probably the best service I've ever dealt with regarding an aftermarket transmission. They received the transmission on Thursday April 27th, they had it rebuilt, back in a crate, and shipped Monday May 1st. Got it on the 3rd. Did not charge me a penny on the shipping or rebuild, Stage...
I meant to give you guys an update, so Calimer opened up the Trans and the synchros and bearings were completely shot. Looks like Lethal LPX-HD fell apart and took the trans with it, the Venegance Stage 2 was a band-aid it seemed. Venegance looked over the clutch and said it was all good to go...
Definitely could be a reason, I'll be sending the trans off here this week and hopefully I'll know something soon, no telling how long the line they have for Transmissions in there is.
I just went to the website and you're right, the 2018+ has billet forks... wondering if this is what has failed. Car doesn't pop out of gear though, maybe they have some premature wear and tear.
I know the gearset itself is Billet from G-Force, I'm not entirely sure of the shift forks though. For the cost I imagine those have to at least be a step up from stock.
I know with the Gen1 Transmissions they were required but I know there are a lot of people running the Gen2/Gen3 setup out here, without shimming the slave. If that's what I have to do at this point then I am not opposed though, I'll have a look into it.
Yea man it definitely is, all the top of the line parts in the car and issues ensuing is not a fun experience. Hopefully I can have some of the Gurus or someone who has had something like this similar chime in here.
So this is kind of a lengthy post as I have been experiencing issues with my setup and I can't seem to figure out why. As a back story, I've had this built transmission a little over a year with just a handful of track passes. Initially the car had a (new) Lethal LPX-HD clutch in it that would...
