You're not entirely off base, the majority will want a coupe, but there's still a large group(myself included) that enjoy performance convertibles. It's a shame ford won't offer something for us, at least until the gt350 conv.

whats the typical delivery time from when you custom order to when it arrives at the dealership? I plan on ordering next summer sometime and I'm curious as to if its similar to the 4-6 months it takes for BMW/Porsche Etc.
I know they wont be offered from the factory, but Ford racing does sell the recaro seats seperately, does anyone know if they will install in the convertible just as easily as the coupe?
I'm secretly hoping they'll let me order DIB with that redline interior like BMW does, although I'm sure they won't :-/ sighhh

Agreed, the zf auto boxes have some lighting fast shift times, and avoid all of the jerky jerk low speed antics of automated manuals. Fingers crossed that they can pull something like that off with this tranny. The ford auto is modeled off of a zf box isn't it?

I'm definitely gonna have to wait and see how responsive the shift times are, if it's anything like the paddle shift auto in the jag F-type I may consider an automatic.

I would be more interested in the other features of the PP, the brakes aren't necessary but they would be nice. It could be that hard to offer all the coupe options on the drop top a la m3/camaro
