Another nice update chaz. Tho I do agree with the statement above that the car seems a bit long based on the side view. I'm not sure if it's the overhang or the wheelbase or a combination of both but I saved your render and changed the length without scaling proportionally and to me this looks...
Ditto.
I wish I knew which performance variants coming and how they stack up to the 13-14 options (Boss/GT500). Judging by the wheels and brakes in the spy pics, I may have to wait (hopefully no more than a year) to see what SVT has in store. Really wanna know if it's worth the wait and...
Really? It looks more muscular - bigger hips, more substantial hood bulge, and maybe slightly lower?
Could be the angle or just my untrained eyes tho.
Excellent news!
Hey chazcron you are a freakin machine with these renders. You definitely deserve a break but if you choose to do another view I would love to see a side view of this GT350/500 version. The blue side view you did looked great even for a base model.... I'm thinking this...
Just looks like a modified Evos quarter window shape to me. A cross between that and the current shape. That would've been a whole lot more accurate than saying it looks like the Accord.
I've never felt strongly about the base models but this is not a bad start.
One thing that I'm really loving is that roofline. The shortened rear deck looks very nice and I love how the roof flows into it.
From Mustang Daily ----
What a silly silly rumor that Hot Rod started. Was there really any doubt it would be a Mustang? This guy didn't actually confirm it would be built on the S550 platform tho.
Anyone know the volume of CJ's last year? I think the only question is whether it's...
If I were to venture a guess, I'd say based more on the exterior design than anything you can glean from the engine. Which is very little. That of course is assuming he (S550Boss) actually knows what the different trims will look like. Certainly cant tell it's not a 5.0L from the engine shot...
Agree with this.
If they were going to do it with the S197, it would have happened already IMO. It's time to wind down the S197, not repackage it with some stripes and badges for a few months. Especially when those few months would be falling so close to April 2014 when the S550 noise is...
I'd have to agree it can't be a full fastback. The rear glass looks like it could be really short. I don't want to say notch b/c that would be a huge step backwards IMO but looking even less fastback than the current car. Especially this shot here:
Also let me just say thank you...
Funny you mentioned that because when I first saw the side skirts and the hips on the Need for Speed mustang the dominator did come to mind a little.
I'd say widebodys are just a little bit better done now ;)
I think what Pill was referring to is that a change of platform would be the best opportunity at weight loss, opposed to trying to shed weight mid-platform. That much we can all agree on I would think.
I don't get it. What possible reason could there be for increased weight of this platform? IRS?
The S197 was strong enough to handle massive amounts of power. Everything I have heard about the S550 is that it will rely less on pure horsepower and more on better balanced performance -...
^^^ Yes I'd like to see bigger wheels too.
I know we're going for as realistic as possible but let's face it a lot of us will have bigger wheels and lowered suspension.
