I am at the hardest part of the waiting. My car has been “In production” for nearly two weeks. The blend date was 5/27. My dealer confirmed the build was was 5/27. No updates from Ford (big surprise there . . . smh). Ugh. Since I live 45 minutes from the plant, I doubt I will need to wait...
What @traxiii said. We feel for you. It seems like there is no rhyme or reason on scheduling.
Be the squeaky wheel. I made a lot of noise last year when my order was canceled. The dealership owner got involved with my re-order. That helped. I ordered HP also and this forum helped me...
FYI. I had a similar plan, until I saw the prices for used GT350s. They were as much or more than what I will pay for my Mach 1. So I decided to wait. From what I have read on various forums, I will not be disappointed. Each person has different thresholds, so I am not saying what to do...
My thoughts are the mechanical parts of the engine should be fine if you keep up with the maintenance. There may be some replacement for normal wear and tear, overall pretty reliable. The electronics are the wildcard to me. Not sure how long these computers will work. I ah e a 1915 Model T...
Ford Performance said that the Blend Date on the window stick is when it rolls off of the line, and that there is a 2-3 day variance. Once it is built, the delivery timing will vary depending on where you live. Check with your dealer once it is built.
I was part of the launch team for the 2008 CTS-V. Made a lot of trips to the Lansing plant. Saw a lot of stuff. I was surprised then, but probably would not be as surprised now. It was cool hearing the first production CTS-V fire up at the end of the line.
It would be cool to pick it up at the end of the line. A friend of mine did that with hi Volvo. I guess it is an option they offer. He looked at the costs of the trip and shipping the car to the US himself, compared with Volvo delivering it to his dealership and found it was cheaper. So he...
Like @davtpa, I checked on my status on 5/19 and saw in production. My build date is 5/27, per Ford Performance. I have a window sticker. I followed up with FP and learned that the Blend Date on the sticker is when the car is scheduled to roll off of the line. The added there is 2-3 day...
The window sticker says 120220527 BLEND 0735. Does this mean the car gets built on 5/27?
@stangcrazy - the MSRP is the April pricing. My dealer is giving me a ”rebate” to get to the 2021 pricing from my original order in June 2021.
I hope so too. But Ford canceled all 2021 model year orders in October. Then new orders for 2022MY with the original order number were sent in. Did your August order get canceled then resubmitted in late October or early November? I am reading a lot about Chapman orders from 2021 not being...
Mine was supposed to be built May 3, then the week of May 9. When the shutdown was announced my date moved to May 23. With the 10 hour shift announcement is there a chance my car gets built this week or next?
