I used the supplied sticky suction cup mount since the R7 Blendmount isn't available yet. Honestly the current set up has the R7 tucked up high, right by the headliner and out of the way to the point where I may skip the blend mount all together. I really like this location.

Just finished my install of a new Uniden R7 and can't thank you enough for this post OP. Used a MirrorTap MTX-1010 and the install took about 10 minutes thanks to your instructions. Could not have been easier.

It's funny you mention the stoplights. I was driving my daily around last weekend and said to my GF that in the Mustang every stop light is an event! In a normal car it's just another delay.

I'll be there for another event earlier in the day and plan to hang around for this.

I struggled with that for a while but then realized one side of the floor plate of the jack has a small stub of metal on it the you can line up with one of the lug holes. That holds it very stationary under the wheel.
