Ford LOVES to sell used cars with new warranties. I considered this myself. You can get up to a 5 year warranty (from the time you purchased the used car). It costs some, but can be worth it. Just tried to find a dealer that sells it for a good price it's the thing.

I would like to develop a kit for this in my spare time this year. It'll take some research, but I believe that it is doable. The system would definitely include plenty of interlocks for safety and would be nice to work with a common/affordable remote. Maybe cellular? Then release it for DIY.

I agree, it depends on what you want vs need. The V6 is robust and has a good amount of power. If you are real pressing for performance and feel that it's worth the extra $$$, get the V8. Either is a good choice. Perhaps test drive a few of each just to make a concrete decision. Good luck

I have a 2019 GT PP1 on order. When it comes in, I am very interested in the GT Performance Pack 3. At this time, Ford Performance has not released the programming for 2018/2019 models. Do you happen to have an ETA from Ford Performance on the release date?

This is something that I plan on investigating after new years. I hope to get in touch with the Ford Performance team that is working on this issue. It would be nice to see where they are at in the process and if they need some additional assistance to move this forward for us.

This is absolutely correct. Last spring, during my employee orientation at Ford, Joe Hinrichs (President of the Americas for Ford Motor Company) did state that the average time for custom orders takes 12-14 weeks. Note that this is somethig that is being diligently worked on to be improved.
