Yeh I was thinking of doing the cut method and how I'd deal with the swarf too. I'm thinking if I cut it upside down with a dremel, I can get most of the swarf to fall outside of the light. And use a vacuum cleaner on the hole immediately following the cut. This should clear most of it out...

Interesting. Thanks for that w0rt3x. I had RAC previously and took about 6 months to sort out a very simple claim for about $600. Windscreen claims with Progressive was free and was very simple and fast in my experience. However I'm guessing it's because it's cheap.

I'm with progressive. Haven't had any claims with them other than a windscreen repair on my previous car. Was fairly painless. Lodge a claim and then local windscreen repairs called me to arrange everything. Was pretty fast. The only thing is they're a total online only company. You will not...

From memory it's illegal in some states because of the rules requiring X number of brake lights visible etc. I know in WA it's illegal. Not sure about other states.

Nay I wouldn't put matte black on the roof if the rest are gloss either. Mine's matted all the way through. I think leaving the roof is fine in your case.

Mine was built on 27th of July in Flatrock Detroit and email said 20 days to port. I had black roof. Car left port on boat in Baltimore on 17th of August. Arrived Perth 21st of September.

Keep wanting to go out to take some decent photos. But it's been raining almost every day since I've got the car. :(
