With respect to the fake fuel filler, it is now part of the heritage, they don't really want to rethink the badging on the rear.
As I meld the front to the rear, and food in the roof and side windows, I am spending a lot of time reworking proportions. Every time I do, I like it even more. I'll...
Got the rear and the window together tonight, sort of. This is the wireframe, the unretouched original and a fake cut-away Photoshop hack of what's coming. Bear in mind I haven't even joined these elements yet. When I do, I'll have a lot of sight-lining to get the look right. I know even then I...
I was working on the greenhouse this morning, but saved it in my downloads folder instead of my Dropbox, so I did the door and will marry it to the greenhouse (quarter window sort of included) tonight perhaps.
yeah, I just read what I typed. A pillar to hood transition. I heard a whisper that the hood line extends down the side of the door, meaning the hood terminates before the A pillar.
I think the MKZ's rear is quite sleek. I am using its A-pillar-hood transition as a guide for modeling that. Blender would have to be easier than Animation Master's splines.
Made the wheel adjustment. Getting closer.
I know the body roll from cornering is why the left front is higher, but will leave it lower on the right front, because everybody loves it lower.
I have noticed that, but mostly attribute it to my fake camera not being exactly aligned in focal length angle and perspective with the real camera. I just hacked that windshield in there this morning. I am using a spy shot with the correct side angle of the windshield, so it is close, but even...
Made me have to sneak a render at work. This is the first time I have overlaid the 3Q (three quarter view) shot over my render. I can now see some things I need to adjust. Wheel wells need to move back (headlight longer too), making more front overhang. wheels need to be slightly smaller. The...
Ironically, the longer the lens and the more the compression is better for me, as it is closer to an orthographic (pure) front view. It has less perspective distortion. I have compensated for the fact that the front shot is 5 degrees above perfect horizontal. I have a 3D camera in my rendering...
Yeah, truly need a whisper about the headlights. I am confident about the location of the bumper, but I recently shortened the overhang by scaling the front end back to match the spy side shot It is still a guess, because there is camo over it, which gives doubt over how much overhang there...
I've looked closely, and I can't say that for a fact, though it would make sense. I see what looks like velcro around the area that gives it a lip look, but I am not sure. I may give it a try.
I'm always wanting as close to production as I can get. The front clip is nearly complete. All I need is a little PM whispering on what the headlights and fogs might look like.
Geez, enough of the headlights!. I suppose I could try to move them back a little, seems the pictures may bear that out. Argh. I'm getting in spline-ache!
Thanks for the heads up, Pill, took me all evening to fix that headlight, but now it is very accurate. Fulfilling request for white car (she do look fine in white) and wireframes, one is orthographic the other is half in perspective.
