Agreed with what you said and appreciate the response. I was dealing with some false knock that obliterated my performance, which I was able to track down and eliminate.
I did end up getting some phenolic spacers (thermal gaskets, whatever you want to call them) but haven't put them on yet...

This is where I got mine. I initially asked Terry @beefcake and he pointed me in Harrop's direction. I haven't installed it yet, had some other issues pop up that needed to be sorted out first.
Correct! Mustang II front suspension. He went into the fender well for some added room but kept the stock firewall in place.
Pictures didn't do it justice.
Went with a small local group for a drive over a mountain and then some grub at a burger joint. Was hoping for a more spirited drive but traffic didn't cooperate.
Still, a nice change of pace.
After a few months after the incident with the front end, finally got it all put back together.
Ended up buying another front cover that was used but structurally sound, but with it having numerous miles and daily damage, had it all repaired and painted the original Oxford White.
Had to let the...
Goodness, I love the opinions and the "logic" used to justify them. I'm sure there is a proper and more efficient way of shifting gears that what I do/am accustomed to and while interesting and valuable in certain conditions, we are half way forgetting one important thing: we drive manuals...
Yup. Bought a pair (can't remember if the 21 or 22 MY version) but they will work just fine with calipers and pads you currently have.
Put them on a few weeks ago, no issues.
Had a cruise planned for today and had to get a few things in order before I abused the car.
- new spark plugs (15k miles)
- cleaned k&n air filter
- new rotors and pads
- replaced front bumper (damn the silver)
- oil change
A lot of nice and beneficial things for obvious reasons but one of...
Haven't driven the car since my incident. Because the driver front tire smoked the curb before the tree gracefully stopped my car, I wanted to get an alignment before I got to work on the front damage.
Pulled it out of the garage this morning and noticed damage on my drive rear rim/wheel...
That evening I found one of our 6g members who was a couple of hours away from me giving away his front bumper along with the upper and lower grilles, so I ran and picked them up the following day and have back home.
It wasn't white but considering the fact that it was free, I'm good with...
@Esha800HP
Good communication, accurate description, and a nice guy. Would 100% deal with him again on anything.
Let me know if you're ever up north, treat ya to a Modelo!
Appreciate the vote of confidence but at the end of the day, it's my screw up. Time to go do some home projects and get my mind off of my trauma from earlier 😜
I've always left in gear in the many years past but once I got married, I couldn't risk it. Wife is able to and does occasionally drive as well, it's not a practice she is use to. So I modified how I did things.
