Cool idea, terrible user interface design. Just looks cheesy to me, if it was possible to reprogram it and design a better UI i'd consider it. Skeuomorphism died a while ago, so putting it in an infotainment unit makes it look dated
The shift light is a GT350 feature: https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2015/07/23/ford-shelby-gt350-gets-racing-inspired-customizable-shift-light.html
The premium model's with Adaptive Cruise have Collision Warning, which is just a red light that flashes (and the car...
That's pretty awesome, although I wonder what system it runs off, if it's the same as SYNC 3 (QNX) or just a skin over MyFord Touch (Windows CE). Personally I'm not buying a head unit for the look of SYNC 3, it's the app integration and CarPlay that I'm looking for. I wonder whether this unit...
True, but if you have SYNC 3 why replace it? Considering it's getting CarPlay / Android Auto this year.
That being said I still wish it was easier to find a SYNC 3 unit than it currently is, it's one of the reasons why I'm considering a MFT swap to Raxiom if it has the right feature set and...
Looks like a shiny screen! Hopefully this means that it's capacitive touch and not resistive touch, can't wait to hear more (ie. if it has CarPlay / Android Auto, if it'll be compatible with climate control, etc)
How much are you selling the Screen / APIM setups for SYNC 3 for? I have the means to program them, so I just need the module / screen. Feel free to PM me, thanks!
You're SO LUCKY, I've been talking to my dealer about getting one but haven't heard back yet, unfortunately I don't have the engineering part #s and they need to get that to check pricing to put the order in.
Darn :( :brokenheart:, I hope it has capability for both since I'm not a fan of MyFord Touch at all and $2000 for SYNC 3 is ridiculous. Thanks for checking, hopefully you hear some good news that this will work for both!
Really appreciate the little updates you're able to give us. Did Raxiom mention their intentions with this system at all? Is it going to be more geared towards the non-premium buyers or will it be compatible with both base model and Premium MyFord Touch vehicles (including the Shaker unit)...
Would be awesome to see the comparison of weight between fenders, hood, doors, etc from OEM to Anderson Composites! If I could get some weight savings by installing the fenders and hood it could add to the performance of my EcoBoost by getting closer to that 50/50 weight distribution ;)
I see...
Actually it was shot at the Tire Rack studio! :headbang:
I was the first person to take my EcoBoost PP to them to get my car measured for Winter tires so they took a picture for their website!
Good to hear that the Raxiom won't be another TomTop-esque MyFord Touch knock-off system!
I'm really hoping this Raxiom unit has Apple CarPlay / Android Auto! Just installed a Kenwood unit with Apple CarPlay in her car and it's really great. Hopefully the Raxiom unit includes that as well as the integration with climate for those that have premium models :clap2:
