Ford Performance M-5A460-M. Rear Knuckle-to-Toelink Bearing Install. First one took 3 hours. Second one, 1 hour. Fords instructions have you using a 1.25" socket to press the old one out... that just rips out the rubber center. Had to carefully cut the outer steel out of the aluminum knuckle...
Ok. :) 👍
The headlight switch is a very simple switch to ground circuit that simply notifies the BCM what you want to do. It's very easy to remove and check it with an ohm meter. I think there's even a guide for troubleshooting it in the wiring manual.
You asked for opinions... If you like em, go ahead and do it. The aluminum ones on the 69 - 71 look wonderful because it fits the body style. The S550 is too smooth to stick on something jagged looking. Oh, and I havent seen a set of plastic louvers that would look good on anything. Especially...
Coming from the aviation world, I will always, always, always lubricate an oring. Which is basically what the oil filter gasket is. Also from the aviation world, I use DC-4. Dry is just asking for problems.

Installing the Vorshlag tow hook on a Mach 1 requires a little work. The factory tow hook threaded tube thru the bumper protrudes out of the aft side of the bumper with a weld bead around it. I had to drill a 1.5" hole in the Vorshlag to get the bumper to sit flush on the tow...
That ET will not work. Try something like 53 in the rear and 37 up front.
Keeping all 4 the same ET and using spacers makes no sense. You cant rotate with different size tires. Might as well get some ET that will fit better.
The only way to keep from bottoming out on those exact roads (yeah, I've been there) is to a) slow down, or b) build a much more compliant, soft, suspension. Like those on a Trophy Truck. Which is, of course, ridiculous.
I've had my old SVO airborne on those exact roads. And a close friend slid...
Mach 1 uses the GT350 oil filter adapter / mount for the oil cooler lines. Brings the filter very close to the alternator, like maybe 1/8" or less (hard to see from below since the alternator is above the filter) so the larger filter will not fit.
You have a beautiful and, I imagine, a very fast and well sorted machine. You've put a ton of work into it.
That said, this also reinforces my current thinking that I cannot install a supercharger, even with an upgraded intercooler, then go out and reliably and comfortably run 5 or 6 20-30...
I did a white overlay on my Velocity Blue. I like that it matches the rest of the hood stripe and stands out a little. If I did a VB (or EG in your case) overlay, I think it would almost get lost on the matte black.
Really doesnt matter, but as to whether or not the bolt is "Torque-To-Yield".
Thats a 10.9 bolt. Bolt size and thread determine Yield Torque. If it's a standard bolt, a 24mm head would make it a M16x2 pitch. That bolt has a maximum torque of 261 lb/ft.
That said, I do not believe the...
@tosha and @RTR077, thank you for honest responses. This is my fear, that my car won't be any fun to do the fun stuff anymore. And I'm not a street racer (anymore... lawman took all the fun outta that) nor a Parking Lot Champion. I dont want my fun time cut short because something I've done to...
