Ported mani worked very well for me indeed. You buy a new one for 350ish from Steeda, ship to AFS from Steeda, pay $200-$250 for porting and they ship to you and then sell your stocker if you want to recoup 200-250 of it.
Couple of things here. MAF readings have to be adjusted according to the fuel trims in play to get "true" readings you can compare. However, I will note I experienced what seemed like a power loss with the AFS ported TB that I did separately after the manifold. When I originally put the manifold...
MAF rates would increase if the engine is moving more air (including ported manifold). It's a better "pump" then and would bring more in which the MAF will read as it goes by. Same as when you do headers which are post-MAF.
They wont exceed the Bullitt package. Ford already confirmed to me (chat with them on Ford Performance..) they will have a tune/filter and a tune/filter/intake option only, no manifold inclusive kit. Not much room for 93 tunes to grow, and adding spark down low is all that tune is really gonna...

To each his own, i wouldnt trade my 18 FBO for a GT350 for anything, but I drag race. Hence my comments above. I actually prefer the sound of my exhaust setup over the GT350 too. The high revs sound cool for sure but i wouldnt buy a car on that alone.
Depends on what you wanna do with it. If free, I'd take the more expensive car and sell it lol. Joking aside, GT for drag racing (10R80 all day) and GT350 for road course. 18+ GT on E85 and FBO makes near 480-490whp SAE on a 10spd and will destroy a GT350 all day at the drags. My buddy's 18 GT...
I dont mind them making a profit at all, thats cool with me if it works, but i still dont see any hard data around MAF turbulence or flow vs rpms vs stock and the coldest air claims vs an open filter seems a bit... gimmicky. Of course its colder if its the stock box before and after their lid vs...
Thanks for the reply. Can you clarify why this intake has cooler intake temps than the stock box (if thats what you mean)? Do you have any graphs of the signal with the insert and without?
Do you have before/after data to show the MAF scaling curves and such for this lid after you revised it (or was it not revised?). There were several posts about turbulence around the MAF with the insert removed which kind of defeats the purpose if you cant use the full MAF housing size available...
