I personally on a car like this would be after a factory approved tune gat keeps the warranty intact. No matter what Cobb might say, I'm pretty sure they will know an engine map has been changed.
Mazda have had a 2.3 turbo for a while. It was in the Mazda6 MPS or Mazda Speed6. Must be about 10 years old though. I'm sure the Ecoboost will be new from the ground up. Whether it'll sound similar though, I don't know. I know it has similarities like you say, but i'd think the 1.6 and 2.0...
Those mirrors just look normal to me. I'm British so maybe you'd expect that. Anyway, I think ones that size are quite normal on most cars, including BMW's.

Shouldn't complain, especially if the 2.3T does start at ÂŁ30k with decent kit as standard. I might have gone for 18's and a softer ride though, so winter tyres wouldn't be expensive too.

It's probably the result of some kind of think-tank market assessment of the market. They also obviously think we all want big alloys and firm suspension in Europe too, like we have an obsession with the nordschleife Nurburgring or something.
