If you like driving a stick shift and row your gears in anger, the GT is very rewarding. It reminds me of the Honda S2000 I use to own, after a tune, headers, and exhaust anyway. I love the way it builds power in the upper rpm range, and after a GT350 intake manifold it'll rev out even more...
After getting the car in the air and the factory exhaust off, 6 hours on passenger side, 3 hours on drivers side. Only place I used an electric impact driver, was to run the studs on the head in and out a few times to clean out the threads. I wasn't sure how tight the header bolts needed to...
My wife's car had cooled seats, and so does my truck, don't miss cooled seats one bit, and I live in west Texas!! But I miss the heat, love heat in the early mornings.
If it was me, I'd keep the fist. I was tempted to trade my regular fiesta for one, I really liked my fiesta, it was so zippy, but it was slow, thought fist would be perfect. There were none around to look at or drive, so I ended up buying another gt.
If you're anything like me, wait and...
If I was to do it again, base pp with recaro, then add leather with heated seats. Nav is neat, as are rain sensing wipers, the radar cruise is fun but even at the largest gap setting, it's still following too close. 401a radio sounds pretty good, but my Corsa sounds better. I do like the blind...
Yeah, I've noticed this too, I thought it was all in my head though. Kinda hard to tell with the rough chip seal roads around here. Road noise is louder in the mornings (cold summer tires) than in the afternoon, and it seemed like the exhaust was as well.
My truck has a sunroof, I bought off the lot, and it was a no cost option, still wish it wasn't there. I have no use for a sunroof, never use it and the cab is a little warmer in the summer with it. If I want wind noise, I'll open a window.
T tops are kinda cool, and I like a removable...
I do miss the stealth mode exhaust, stock exhaust. I may go back to stock exhaust in the future, sounds like I shouldn't lose any power. For right now, I'm getting a big kick out of the noise right now. Kinda cool, that it's so tame at cruising speed and when you're easy on it.
It's been awhile since I've driven the auto, it has the 3.15 gears, but driving easy, the rpm stays really low. I think the auto runs around 200 rpm lower at 75 mph. Mpg is quite a bit better on the auto, it's a great transmission.
With as loud as my car is, at 6am, I won't be doing...
It's a little over 1000 rpm. It goes against me a little too, but engine seems happy with it, and it's getting over 30 mpg at that speed. If I drop to 5th, mpg is mid 20s. I'll look at the useless vacuum gauge next time, see where my vacuum is at.
After I drowned my VW TDI bug in a flood, I bought a fiesta for my daily. In 4 months and 7,000 miles I was bored to death in my daily. I was really thinking fiesta ST, then I thought a eco mustang might be nice. Well, if I bought an eco, I'd regret it in 7000 miles. I'll get a base gt...
When I'm not trying to draw attention through town, I shift before 2000 rpm and use all my gears. In the 35 mph zone, I'm doing 37 mph in 6th gear, with cruise control on. But this is normally how I drive in town anyway. The small town I drive through everyday has a really bored police...
