Buying a Mustang right now is a great idea if you're in the market for one. I just picked up a 2018 GT, 10R80, 401A, PP1, MagneRide, and safe and smart package for $34,998 from CarMax. Vehicle had 16K miles and an original sticker price of $52,000.
Coming from an S197 GT, the S550 Gen 2 is a...
I am not saying they're not sitting on lots, you just came to the conclusion that is was because the margins are better or something to that effect. That's why I disagreed with you, because you made a claim that didn't have any basis.
Car manufacturers don't make a ton of margin on most cars...
That's not evidence, that's an example of a shitty salesman on one hand, and someone trying to get rid of cars on the other. Plus, there are a million factors for them to make that decision one way or another. I'm not refuting your story, but your example isn't indicative of a nation-wide or...
That's a reach if I've ever seen one. I don't think Chevy dealers are sitting happy with unsold product on their lots. Do you have any evidence to back up your claim?
Well GM screwed themselves when they began chasing the Germans in a half-hearted attempt to seem relevant. It's great for marketing purposes, but not great for brand recognition or brand loyalty. Sure GM still has stalwarts like the Escalade, Sierra, and Silverado, but much of the rest of their...
As a person about to buy a lightly used 2018, upgrading from my S197 GT, the new Gen is quite the performer and looker. Also, the Camaro6 forums are imploding over there, lol.
Ford has done something Chevy has not, and that's retained the Mustang's identity throughout the generations and...
And this is when your opinion became invalid. Insults? Really? How exactly do you know that you had an order locked before him? And how do you know his build date? How do you know his dealer connections? You're completely jealous in the Merriam-Webster definition of the term.
You're jumping up...
What's with all of these jealous old men? Are you really complaining cause he got his $80K car before you? Some of y'all need to get a damn grip.
Regardless, the boy comes from money and looks like he's doing his own things to earn some of his own. What's wrong with that? Ford Motor Company...
Although the rotor diameter is the same, the thickness is different. The S550 rotors are slightly thicker than the GT500 rotors.
This, however, should have no bearing in fitment since the front offset would be the same between the S197 and S550 vehicles. You should be good to pull the trigger.
A 6% decrease in sales compared to last year is completely fine and within normal sales fluctuations. A 60% is not.
Move along folks, there's no actual story here.
They can't even claim that anymore. The new transformers movie "Bumblebee" uses a VW Beetle as the new face of the character.

Anyways, nice sales numbers but I'm waiting until the next platform and for Ford to take some weight out of the car.
Driver's car? Mustang? Since when?
There are variants which can be considered driver's cars. The BOSS 302, GT350/R, but not the GT. Never has been a driver's car. You would even be stretching to call it a sports car. Hell, I drive one and I know it's not a drivers car.
Bud, please take a look at the second link. That is for GM, which is at 4.49% by the way. I was making a point that a 6-7% profit margin is common even among the highest earning companies, chief.
I would definitely agree on some of these points, however, I think they've made some great strides in improving their line.
I will specifically point out that I think Raj Nair has been excellent for Ford since he basically took over their product portfolio in 2012. Now that he's VP of Ford...
My post was geared towards his statement about there not being any excitement for new Ford products, however, I'll go ahead and provide counterpoints to your argument.
Track performance isn't all about power. There are plenty of cars that will whip a GT350 on the track which are down on power...
They just fired Ford CEO Mark Fields because of this. http://jalopnik.com/why-mark-fields-was-fired-1795431562
Basically, the investors realize Ford is a bit stale. This is why they have been approving performance vehicles left and right. What they really need is new platforms under their...
