Apex is coming out with forged wheels next month. They're going to do a photo shoot of the new wheel line with my car next week; I look forward to sharing.
One of the reasons I bought a GT350 over a Porsche GT4 was the back seats, so that I could bring my dogs with me and my wife on trips. Well, the day I got it, the dogs hated riding in the car and driving a sports car like a sports car makes my wife sick. On the upside, I can buy a one-seater...
Like the title says, I'm interested in buying a set of four 19x11 ET52 wheels that will let me have a square, rotatable setup for the track. I am open to Apex EC-7, Apex SM-10, Project 6GR Seven, Project 6GR Ten, Vibe GT7-R, Signature SV104 or SV107 or SV504 (or many other Signature designs)...
Is it? I thought I read that they don't use it in aircraft manufacturing because it is less strong and durable. However, for many applications, it has a lot of other benefits over woven carbon fiber, such as being cheaper and easier to manufacture.
"Though forged carbon fiber doesn’t offer...
Nice, that’s in line with the Ford Performance recommendations for the R.

Good point on resale, that is an obvious miscalculation. So it's more about whether to spend $7K on taxes and $1K-$2K on all the various off-cycle maintenance I do when buying a used car and open myself up to another $1500 of depreciation (10% over 2 years x the $15K difference in price), versus...
Congrats @BuckeyeGT350! Perfect timing.
@Tomster @Egparson202 I am wondering whether it’s worth investing in my base GT350 (roll bar, track wheels, MGW shifter, maybe R spoiler and splitter, etc.) or trading it for a GT350R. The reality of that trade is that I will have to pay $15K more (the...
That's a great deal. I paid $62K for a 2019 GT350 with 15k miles in August 2021, which was the one of lowest priced GT350s in the country at the time, though I won't claim it was any sort of great bargain.
The lack of a tow hook is inexcusable for something that is supposed to be track ready from the showroom. However you can remediate that with a few options, including the ZL1 Addons part.
Rev matching can be added too - I installed a Xineering autoblip module in my car and use it on the track...
How similar are a 2019+ GT350 and GT350R in feel and capability? Is the R worth the $20K premium in the used market if you aren’t buying for prestige and potential collector value?
I have read Ford made a lot of updates to the base GT350 in 2019 that brought it very close to the GT350R in lap...
Yeah, forged carbon fiber seems to be a thing. It looks like unfinished fiberglass or the equivalent of carbon fiber particleboard to me, but I guess with marketing you can make anything cool.
Days with high (103 dB) noise limits that let us run output cars full bore at Laguna Seca are few and far between but there is one coming up in a couple weekends. It’s the only one this year that I see on MotorsportRe
Corsa Club is hosting an event on Saturday 2/5 and Sunday 2/6. It’s $350 per...
I’m sorry to report that db252 has moved to Tennessee, so I’m on the hunt again for good Mustang/FP/Shelby mechanics near San Francisco.
R Mustangs recommended All Pro Mechanicx in the city, but their hourly rate is $195, which is stratospheric.
The right answer is probably Trent Musser at...
