  1. Okay, guys, I need your help

So, here's a pic of one of the front tires on my son's Mazda3. The other one is just as bad. We're having the hardest time convincing him to 1) get these replaced and 2) stop driving on them unless absolutely essential. And certainly, don't drive fast on them. Will you guys weigh in and help...
  2. Mustang washed away in flood

Yes, the list of reasons why a lack of adequate, reliable, and affordable energy would spell doom for the human race is quite long.
  3. Mustang washed away in flood

This has been discussed already, but if you think the "investments" in alternative energy sources are rational and not entirely politicized, you need to rethink your premises. The truth is that most spending is being made on solar and wind, neither of which is economical or reliable. By...

With the policies the hysterics want to pursue, it could be worse than the 13th century. Ours is a civilization that requires lots of energy, and if the power grid falls apart, then we'd be unable to survive. It's not like we're an agrarian society used to burning candles for light.
  5. 10R80 Owners - ULTIMATE M6G 10R80 Facts + Resolutions to harsh or no shift conditions

This is how mine works. Shifts are smooth as butter in D, and firmer (but not harsh) in Sports/Sports+. Track and Drag modes also have their own unique feel. Mine was a mess before they topped off the fluid. Since then, it's felt great.
  6. 10R80 Owners - ULTIMATE M6G 10R80 Facts + Resolutions to harsh or no shift conditions

As an update, this seems to have resolved after the second attempt to resolve an issue with the evaporative emission system. Can't remember the part they replaced offhand (not enough coffee yet), but it's known to cause these sorts of issues. Fingers crossed that my Mustang is back to normal.
  7. FordPass hasn't cleared Service Engine Soon warning

Thanks, but this did resolve itself. I filled up the car, went for a short drive, rebooted my phone, and by the time I got home the notification in FordPass was gone.
  8. Mustang washed away in flood

I couldn't disagree more. The downside of being wrong about (catastrophic, anthropogenic) climate change being real, meaning the implementation of policies that will depress the global economy, put millions out of work, threaten our access to reliable, affordable energy, and generally cause...

Sure, I hear you and agree. I didn't take it personally, was just making an observation.
  10. Mustang washed away in flood

Often, I'm writing comments not necessarily for the benefit of the person I'm responding to, but rather for others who might read something they haven't thought of before.

There's a theory that oil isn't actually a "fossil fuel" but the result of ongoing geological activity. As it bubbles up, it's attacked by bacteria, which makes it appear organic. That accounts for oil fields that appeared tapped out but spontaneously started producing again. Look up abiotic...
  12. Mustang washed away in flood

The amount of radiation released at 3 Mile Island was minimal and had no health or environmental impact. So nobody's still dying of cancer from the accident.
  13. Accessory mode shows SES light flashing and battery indicator, goes away when car starts

Okay, so, I drove the car a bit and filled it up with gas (it was on empty in 100 deg F weather). When I got home the SES notification had cleared in FordPass and the notification on the dash stays illuminated until the engine starts. Then it goes away. No flashing. I think I'm good.
  14. FordPass hasn't cleared Service Engine Soon warning

Okay, so, I drove the car a bit and filled it up with gas (it was on empty in 100 deg F weather). When I got home the SES notification had cleared in FordPass and the notification on the dash stays illuminated until the engine starts. Then it goes away. I think I'm good.
  15. Accessory mode shows SES light flashing and battery indicator, goes away when car starts

I found this in the manual about the Service Engine Soon light. Interestingly, mine flashes seven times after 15 seconds and then stays on. So I have no idea if this is normal or not.
  16. FordPass hasn't cleared Service Engine Soon warning

Thanks. It's weird that it shows in accessory mode and not when started though, right?
  17. Accessory mode shows SES light flashing and battery indicator, goes away when car starts

So, while trying to diagnose why my old SES warning is in FordPass, I noticed that when I put the car in accessory mode the SES light is flashing and my battery indicator is on. But, both go away when I start the car. ???
  18. FordPass hasn't cleared Service Engine Soon warning

Thanks for the quick response! It shows the correct mileage and distance to empty. But, I just noticed something weird. When I put the car in accessory mode, I see the SES light flashing and the battery indicator is on. But when I start the car, both go away. So now I'm not sure what's going on.
  19. FordPass hasn't cleared Service Engine Soon warning

So, I just had my 2022 GT/CS in for service, twice, for the same evaporative emission system SES that popped up (twice). Fingers crossed that they fixed it this time. However, they cleared my vehicle from FordPass for some reason, and now that I've reconnected the SES from July 4 is still...
  20. Mustang washed away in flood

Here's a story that highlights what I've been mentioning about how the various statistics are sensationalized or downright misrepresented. Look at this headline: "Death Valley could hit Earth's hottest EVER temperature as 111M Americans under heat alert" That's pretty unequivocal. The hottest...
