  1. 2015 5.0L Coyote Engine Changes

Haven't had hand on the '15 coyote yet, so not 100% its this exact style. But the older variant IMRC (intake manifold runner control) used very small throttle blades inside each cylinder's intake runner that adjusted the amount of airflow into the cylinder. The use of such on the old 4.6...
  2. 2015 5.0L Coyote Engine Changes

Would this suprise you? It wouldn't be the first time (or the second, or the last) Ford has underrated an engine.
  3. 2015 Mustang (s550) Specs and Technical Info Guide (GT V8, V6, EcoBoost)

The motors that were -less IMRC (intake manifold runner control, as it was termed back then) Made more horsepower high end but did suffer from some low to mid end torque loss. Its all about goals. If the coyote needs to put down more mid range, here is one solution.

Rampant, take a good look at the lower valence in option c! Damn near right on the money!

I don't write the programs nor do I run these dyno's, so I'm sorry but thats about all I know  I do know that the 300k miles are not 'true' miles. If you held a boss 302 at 65 mph, in fifth gear (not sixth) you would spin just over 3000rpm. In sixth gear you are around 100 mph at...

Correct. True (as close as possible) simulations
  7. Voodoo Theory

    Yes

You are correct, there is alot of heat cycling, alot of idle to redline bursts, and some (spurts of a few thousand miles) near redline. Most of it (250k) is spent at varying rpms that would be typical of daily driving and track driving. There's quite alot of time held between 1.5k-5k (daily) and...

Wasn't a car engine. Dyno test engine. Hence the 50k of abuse and 250k of 3000 rpm straight. I've seen and/or heard of most of Ford's recent 8 cyl motors (past decade or so) results on the durability dyno.
  10. Dear Lincoln....

Never factory no, when Ford pushed for the tbird to recieve it they killed the whole MN12 chassis. Couldn't have a Ford compete with the Lincoln sister :) And I was implying that it was just a fancy ford clone, nothing unique. Just a better motor and fancy suspension. Although when it worked...

Don't be. I've seen roadrunner coyotes past 300,000 miles. And I'm assuming that you won't put 250,000 miles at 3000rpm straight with nothing but basic maintenance in between. And thats after the 50,000 miles of hard abuse. ^.^
  12. Dear Lincoln....

Had a Thunderbird years ago, loved it. Would you not consider the Mark anything more than a rear wheel drive clone from the ford stable?
  13. Dear Lincoln....

 Rampant is that all your own? It's so sleek!
  14. chazcron's 2015 Mustang 3D renders and 'shops

I like the pony on the deck lid, much more than the fake gas cap. However there is an issue that is subconsciously picking away at me. I'm used to only seeing the pony when the car is coming at me. It is a mixed feeling to see it on the back of the car, because my first assumption is that the...

No, these were two convertible GT500's. They may have that Ferrari for testing purposes though, but that's a separate event. Agreed, if Ford's using a flat plane, 525 is low. At 8500 RPM horsepower is made easy. Remember that horsepower is just the end product of an equation. HP =...

Well every opinion is based on past expiriences, and we havent heard a factory turbo 5.0 to compare. Turbo technology is ever advancing also. It would be great to see a mustang with a setup similar to current EB with nearly zero lag. As to FPC with a turbo being better than a CPC with a turbo...

Here is some news I just recieved. Currently, there are two GT500's (2013-14 body) at Romeo. From what I am told these are entirely (seemingly) stock GT500 cars. One is black and red, and the other is red and black. They are both vert's. I am being told they are "playing around" out back...
