Yeah I was just stating GM threw everything they could at the heavy platform and it performed fairly well. I wouldn't daily drive one that's for sure. It would be a track only, and maybe Friday to work and cars shows and that's it. Harsh suspension and crap radio. Kinda like purchasing a ZL1...
Living in Michigan my entire life, this thread makes me cringe. Brushless auto washes do not get everything off your vehicle. Once salt coats the underside of your vehicle, it's basically stuck there unless you scrub it off with soap and water.
Has the engine part number changed since it's introduction?
I know in the Mopar world, part numbers go from AA to AB, AC, etc when something changes be it a formulation, machining change, engineering, etc.
Not sure how the Ford nomenclature works.
They never came with the 1.4 turbo. The 2.0 LNF was/is a good motor, and everything on the HHR is cheap to fix. They are reliable, fast, and get decent mileage. For a grocery getter, they are decent.
Half of the porters, sales people, the parts manager, owner, new car manager, etc probably took it out and beat on it for a few miles. I think I'd rather purchase from a knowledgeable private owner.
I get the feeling most of you can't grasp what it could mean if GM kills the 7th gen. I'm sure they won't and probably will rethink the whole "I'm only going to listen to 5th gen owners and not make a car thats more livable and appealing on a daily basis like the Mustang".
That was a great Mustang commercial. There's a newer GT350 commercial but I don't think it was advertised on tv. I don't even think I can think of a Camaro or Corvette commercial that I can remember.
This is by far my favorite car commercial ever:

It's what happens when you market the 6th gen toward what 5th gen owners wanted and not what everyone else wanted. I do think GM is making money off them still but being dead last in sales has to hurt.
I'm half temped to get a scat pack, there's quite a few around where I live and I'm always...
