  1. Still Some R's left and could be at sticker

Agree, many of us have called out of state dealers for months, and yes some lower priced ones can be scored, but usually not the color combo in the most desirable colors and this is all ex- transportation costs, registration, emissions, which are meaningful for CA buyers. Also, various car...
  2. Still Some R's left and could be at sticker

Just as dealers attempt to manipulate the market with ADMs, so do prospective buyers in making everyone think R prices are dropping. Outside of very few MSRP dealers, and some willing to take a hit on trade in vs PP sale, I have seen no evidence of Rs dropping much this year. For other car...
  3. Speedkore GT350R Leno's garage

Amazing how the guy seems to deliberately and completely avoid discussing the weight savings. The GT350 hood, fenders, bumper covers are either aluminum or plastic, so lateral weight savings from a Hellcat are meaningless.
  4. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

Not to the same degree. Helps with handling and actually reducing NVH. Think the analogy used by Ford engineers is that an aluminum wheel when subject to an impact, is like a "bell" and causes resonance and reverberation throughout the suspension, while a CF wheel absorbs impacts better...
  5. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

Very good point. Also, CF wheels have the unique ability to "absorb" impact with slight give, while maintaining strength. No forged wheel will have this property.
  6. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

Cool... what is the maximum load such wheels can support (standard TUV measure), and are the TUV certificates available for the GT350 or regular Mustang (or any car weight) of 3800 lbs? In all fairness, think this info matters most for track vs street use. In other applications, the BBS FI or...
  7. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

Having shopped for wheels for other vehicles, a very informative source in how all the various factors at play are the German/Euro TUV certificates required for all aftermarket wheels. Porsche wheels, especially for the fronts, require much less load bearing requirements due to the overall...
  8. HR361 - 2017 GT350R - The Story

Nice job! how was the deal for the trade in?
  9. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

Anyone know how much the Forgeline GA1R wheels run? Seems like the only wheels that are close to approaching the CF wheel weight.
  10. Dean Martin's GT4 Mustang

Really awesome thread. Keep the pics and info coming!
  11. Ford Performance GT350 Lowering Springs Group Buy

I'm assuming this is a sway for the front only?
  12. Will oil separator void my warranty?

    No, it will not.
  13. Can a GT350 with light track wheels & track aero match a GT350R?

In short, yes. CorteX also sells a magnaride controller, which in theory may be able to better adjust the suspension of the non-R in a way more geared for track duty. Think the wheels add more to the R (e.g. why go through all the expense/complexity of doing so?) than most people give credit...
  14. Top Speed, 6th Gear & What were they thinking?

While 6th gear is too tall, it's a pretty modest sacrifice (to reach fleet fuel economy averages) to make in order to allow Ford to produce a normally-aspirated high revving FPC engine, when even guys like Ferrari are producing turbos. The US auto manufacturers are exploiting a significant...
  15. 2017 GT350R #2 bid to $3K over on ebay

Have been watching eBay for months now, and have seen this with a few times with the Rs...low bids, reserve not met, car gets either sold at much higher price on that auction at 11th hour or gets pulled for a couple of weeks and then goes back on auction and sells for much higher. I've actually...
  16. How do you refer to your car?

    "the mustang" or "the 'stang"
  17. How many miles are you getting on the Cup2's?

To the OP's point, interested more in actual experiences with actual mileage ranges for PSC2 and the R. Have 1600 miles on street and a few laps on a track and my tires look similar to Mr. Cincinnati's and I have about 4/32nds left on the inner treads. In my M3, would get 7-8k miles...
  18. From BMW to FORD!!!

Welcome, I also come from the BMW world and still drive (and love) my E90 M3. It's funny, the M3 gets more comments from the general public, but those who know cars will really give the GT350R a lot of attention/thumbs ups etc, even though it may be less frequent.
  19. GT4 parts for the GT350

First of all, 18 inch wheels are better for acceleration, lower rotational inertia, secondly competitive racing is a harsh environment. Cost/benefit equation of a bespoke 18inch carbon fiber wheel doesn't make sense in a sport with numerous blowouts and very tough abuse on wheels.
  20. New Ford Performance GT350 video!!

    Sonoma Raceway! :clap2:
