I see a lot of people mounting these in the trunk. What happens when you have a battery short or electrical short (cause of most fires) an the trunk wont pop open?? I hope you dont crawl through the backs seat to get to them... Mount them some where inside an easily accessible.

Batteries from Ford are garbage. do yourself a favor, chuck it and buy a good one. I dont know why, mine lasted a year from brand new bought a new one an never looked back.

If this is indeed real I can't believe this thing hasent given up the ghost by now... seriously though drain it the best you can I suppose, change the oil, run it to temp, and change it again. Filter both times obviously cause the new oil is gonna knock some stuff loose I would think. I am sure...

Stickier tires are not the fix all, it's all about the driver mod and sounds like your on the right track... dont get me started on rain, usually just drive the hummer when it rains. Lol

They appear to be chrome plated to me. But I guess not quite sure now that you ask. Just wierd if most people's oil consumption problems would be also attributed to this and they never know. I didn't have oil consumption all that bad though.

Yeah it actually took the chrome coating right off, just at the tops.

If you want numbers an how I did it here ya go. 210 to 215 on all cylinders here. All plugs out throttle closed and fuel pump fuse pulled. Right or wrong it's all within the magic percentage I think.

1oz per gallon for 3 years now no problems. Change out the plugs and I just clean/wipe off the O2's. I have even just cleaned the plugs and had no problems.
