Ford announced this new model a few months ago ..and then nothing! Haven't heard: on sale date, upgraded internals, test by anyone, nothing. Anybody hear anything new or does Ford think we should stand outside the dealerships and wait until the car turns up and just buy it? Just like the 2020...
It is possible. But as the old saying go: "If you need to ask how to do it, then it's probably not for you as you will have to pay someone to do it"= big bucks!!
With that said here is a prototype twin charged(turbo & super charged) EBM:
Take a look at the Ecoboost Turbo 4 with the auto 10 speed. The engine sound outside is not great(definitely not as nice as the GT), but for your needs the 310hp/350lb. ft. might be enough.
Putting a safe under the rear seat bottom cushion would be good. But that is not easily accessible. If we could design hinges at the back of the bottom seat cushion and a key lock accessible from the drivers seat that would be problem solved.
Maybe we could even get the Mossberg under there too.
Went to a car show this morning that got rained on for the first hour. I waited in my Mustang and a light blue GT PP later parked beside me(he left before I could get a pic ). After the rain turned to a drizzle I got out the car as there was supposed to be an unveiling at midday-A carbon edition...
A sequential gearbox is a manual gearbox that you pull back on the gear stick to upshift and push forward to downshift(think of a motorcycle gearbox). It only goes backward and forward. Not in a "H" pattern like a regular manual transmission. Top flight rally cars and Touring cars use them...
Although I prefer manuals you need to drive this first before complaining about the tranny. I would much prefer that Ford had put a sequential manual in there. Ford being so progressive I thought they would have been the first manufacturer to offer a production sequential manual.
I missed it by 5 hp. But we will later find out the limiting factor is the DCT. Imagine pumping the boost up to 20 lbs=1,000 hp!! Next up is the SVO Ecoboost Mustang=500 hp 4 cylinder.
The most amazing thing about the GT500 is not the 760 hp-it's the 760 hp AND a warranty. I probably won't be...
755 hp in 6th and 825 hp in 7th gear. 6th gear is limited so it won't break the transmission. Or something like that. Top speed is 203. 1 mph more than the Hell Kitty.
Shogun 32, you should give it try and let us know how it works out. I assume your EB is tuned/upgraded intercooler. Try the 2 cars side by side(get a 2nd driver that is at least equal to you in driving ability) from say 2000 rpm in 2nd gear, then later in 3rd gear from 2,000 rpm and let us know...
Tune+ and other companies have built a number of Focus RS's putting out 600 hp. But you have to pull the engine and fortify the block/bottom end. So big numbers are doable-just not from the stock Focus RS/EBM. We are waiting to see if the HPP Mustang has any block/bottom end improvements.
As...
I need a bag of that popcorn and electro shock therapy so I can keep on remembering what this thread was about. Still, sometimes this thread is very amusing with the bickering that is going on.
Ding-ding, round 21. Let's go gents!
If you are going to do an engine swap at least make it worthwhile like this: a LX Mustang with a turbo 6(Ford Australia engine) making more than 800 hp

& this one making 1600 whp with the same engine
