    Honestly to some degree saw some of the difficulties and minor frustrations, but took my time to not damage anything. You would have to clamp down pretty hard with the bracket in a wrong position to bend them up and need new ones. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

    Being similar to a thin sheet of glass isn't really going to do anything in regard to UV light protection ... it doesn't work that way - UV light will pass right through thick glass. There are compounds that can be put into paints, clears, coatings, etc. such as UV absorbers that converts it...

    The PH of dawn dishwashing detergent is in the neutral range of 7-8 and won't hurt a clear coat. It's also not abrasive and won't scratch your clear coat. You're likely to scratch things more through normal washing from rubbing in dirt and contaminants. I don't think that anyone is talking...

    Hope things are ok and no longer term damage was done to any of the bearings with only 2.5q of oil left. I can tell you don't need anyone dog piling on the rear view comments so I won't say that the last step in the process is always start it up and check for leaks! Oops ... sorry
