So I got lucky a picked a really good shop. It was pricey, $8500 for full Xpel and ceramic, but like I said before worth it. When I dropped off my car it was definitely the lowest priced car there haha. They had Bentleys, lambos and other exotics. Shoot the two closest cars price wise to mine...
Got full XPEL and while it was pricey I'm very glad I did. Like others said earlier, mine came with a 10 year warranty. Only about 10 months old but is showing no signs of aging to this point. Also makes the car much easier to clean.
Unless it came off, I 'm sure I did put the sticker on haha. Probably just points more to the theory that the tech was going off miles and recommended services. But now I'm curious, going to have to pop the hood when I get home from work.
I switched to the blue Airaid filter as well. Did it pretty early on and at the same time I might or might not have removed the carbon filter, so can't say if it made a huge difference. My last oil change at the dealership they suggested I replaced the filter and I was like hell no> I'm sure the...
I was not a fan of yellow at all when I was shopping for my Mach but that's what color the car I used at Track Attack and it definitely grew on me. Would definitely be an option if I got another one. Or maybe it was just the combo of the color and all the go fast stickers. I think they said each...
I know this doesn't answer at but to be honest I never drive in sport, only normal, sport+, and wet/snow(rare occasion i get surprised by rain). I know the Ford Performance School said sport+ had the most responsive throttle if all the modes of that helps any.
I mean nothing really, but my first thought when I saw the puddle lights on my car was that I wish they were different from the GTs. Specifically "Mach 1" instead of the pony like I just ordered.
So when I went the morning was 3 different drills: no-lift shift & threshold braking, the wheel contact with the car on outrigger, modified small oval to stress looking through-ahead of the turns. I'm sure there are more technical terms for those drills but I'm a little slow and can't remember...
Yeah I don't really know much about tracks around the country but Charlotte seemed like a good mix logistically speaking. Not very far from a major airport and plenty of accommodations very close to the track. I'm assuming most major speedways are similar in those regards but am really guessing...
Yeah that seems out of character compared to everything else. Totally makes sense to ask for all that info. I bet they add some nominal fee for lost revenue based on how long the repairs take and the car is out of use. Pure speculation on my part.
I know exactly what curve you're talking about. That sucks. If you don't mind me asking how bad was the damage and what did they quote you for repairs?
So we asked this very question of the instructors. They stopped short of saying it's 100% a sure thing but they did mention that the current GT500 and Mach one track attacks would end at the end of the year. They said it was their understanding that the dark horse would also have a track attack...
When you're on the oval it's straight up walls. Nobody wrecked or rubbed in our whole class but the instructors said it happens. I would think the most likely cause would be following and not breaking hard enough going into a curve coming off one of the straight aways.
That's a fact haha. Our group was talking about it at the end. We felt like we were pushing pretty hard on the third run and then the instructor ride-along made us feel like grandmas.
