My 18 is in the shop now. Got a random...a cyl 1 and a cyl 4. They're thinking bad coil packs because it only occurs on cold starts but who knows. But that's what the dealer is telling me right now. I've got densos pre gapped from tune+ and the FP tune.
For whoever asked about the tire with and recalibration, there is a way to go into the procal app included with the tune that you can adjust the diameters/widths so your speedometer reads correctly.
Just got off the phone with a FP rep. He is telling me that this is meant to be used with a pro tune and not the FP tune. I asked if FP had any plans to release an updated tune to work with this and he stated that he did not know. Sooooooo...... I dunno what to do now lol. Because as much as I...
I'd be interested to see if this plays well with the current tune they offer or if you buy this and already have the procal tune if they'd offer an update for a fee...
Either way I'm interested in inquiring more about it.
It took me 3 dealers to get one that knew what I was talking about. You'd think even though it's an "aftermarket company" these dealers would know atleast a Little about these products.
Sooooooo...the IC I just got in the mail Friday.... Would it happen to be one of the revised ones lol? Or should I tell the guy who's gonna install mine here ahead of time that's it's off a bit? I didn't even open the box yet as I've been running around all weekend.
I talked with a Ford performance rep today and was told the power pack would not work well with an upgraded downpipe (3")... I guess take that with a grain of salt seeing as to how it was one of the "techs" from the website but that's what I was told. So I guess no turbo back exhaust for me just...
I had a solo performance turbo back on my 15 and thought it was the best option for deep tone. I'll be doing their cat back this time around. Downpipe possibly down the road.
I'd be interested in seeing if anyone already had an upgraded downpipe/exhaust/fmic and then got the Ford performance tune. I'm curious as to how it would run.
