The pulley comes by itself, just follow the belt chart and get the appropriate belt for the pulley you have. They are common belts that can be purchased at most auto parts stores
Well I suppose if you “have to know” this will give an opportunity to show some photos from our current US production facility. The supercharger head unit and internals as well as the bracket, hardware, pulleys, components etc.. are all American made with zero percent Chinese components. They...
That graph was at over 800whp. The gains will become larger G3 over G2 as power rises and the G2 begins to run out of breath. Those power differences are smaller at the 700whp mark because the G2 is still well within its efficiency range.
I think the info has been pretty stable all along. The pulley size and recommendations haven’t changed and are on the website. Setups and model year of car will change some things but at the end of the day you are octane limited on pump gas. Run the smallest pulley on our list based on your...
It hasn’t been, I think you’re confusing the octane recommendations. From the beginning it has been recommended that Gen 2 cars (15-17) can run either head unit G2/G3 with a 115mm pulley (93 octane) or a 120mm pulley (91 octane) and Gen 3 cars (18+) can run either head unit (G2/3) with a 120mm...
Gen 2 engine 115mm pulley should be ok on either G2 or G3 on 93 octane. Depends on how high you spin it as well. Obviously log with your tuner to verify. Gen 2 cars are less knock sensitive because of the lower compression ratio.
Very fair question, and thanks for the kind words. The company itself has been around for a long time. More than 25 years now. We are very popular in the BMW crowd as well as the Lamborghini/R8 platform. We pioneered the forced induction and centrifugal market for BMW and have branched off from...
14 PSI on 91 doesn’t work out at all. Even if you could pull enough timing out it would be massively counterproductive with EGTs going through the roof eventually melting everything in its way. The engine would hate it and would not even remotely perform well. There is a reason every major tuner...
People are not making 14 psi on pump 91. On a gen 3 coyote. Not happening. Please ask any of the major tuners the most boost they recommend on pump gas (especially 91) and they will laugh at you if you suggest 14 PSI. Show me examples of people making 14+ PSI on pump 91 fuel and no octane...
Our head unit has significantly less parasitic loss than you might think. We have achieved this in a few different ways. 12mm wide optimized gears, SKF ultra precision/low friction bearings, a patented oiling system with minimal friction losses. Etc..
This paired with a state of the art...
I hear you, but you also have to keep in mind that with increased effective compression ratio also comes increased engine efficiency. Why do you think a 11:1 CR engine makes more than the exact same engine with 9:1? Increased efficiency as long as the fuel used still supports optimal timing...
I’ve been enjoying reading this thread and also enjoy the data being provided. There’s some smart guys in this thread!
I would like to make a comment on the boost pressure Brad is seeing. We rate and have tested extensively the 125mm pulley that he runs at ~7psi @7200rpm. This is our largest...
Very interesting claim! Especially considering that both main ESS threads (including the one we are on right now) have both been started by members that do not own an ESS product. Now that is some great advertising I must agree!
A well setup car will have a better ET and MPH. Obviously HP/weight being the biggest factors for MPH. If you don’t have a proper suspension and gearing setup and have to leave in 2nd gear your ET and MPH will suffer. Shawn’s car is still nearly 300lbs heavier than you. Your car is still fairly...
Like he said this dyno is scaled differently so they don’t cross like normal.
MPH also will vary on chassis setup and race weight and plenty of other factors. You already know this since you’ve been racing a while. A car like yours with 1100 whp will trap much higher because it’s a race car and...
