So I gave it a few more tries today. Apparently the whole shifter assembly turns now. Not wanting to break anything I'm going to stop trying to take it off by force.
My new plan is to drill a large enough hole in the top of the knob that I can use a heat gun to heat up everything enough to...
I'm not sure what they used since I bought it used. But if I had to guess I'd say red due to the difficulty.
I did manage to get it to turn a couple of times but now it seems like it is stuck. I'll give it a few more tries tomorrow. It's been in the high 90s down here in Georgia so I'm worn out...
Tried replacing my broken reverse lockout only to find the aftermarket shift know was installed with loctite. Tried getting the knob off with a strap wrench. Not only did it not budge I managed to break the shifter boot trim. :headbang:
My reverse lockout broke and needed replacing. So I buy a new one and wouldn't you know it the previous owner put on the aftermarket shift knob with loctite. I can't get this sucker off no matter how hard I try. I even bought a strap wrench but that sucker ain't moving. And in the process of...
So I'm currently rocking the 2015 Performance Package tires on my Mustang GT Premium. My current tire sizes are 255/35 ZR19 96W on the front and 285/35 ZR19 103W on the back. I'm looking at purchasing the gloss black SVE R350 wheels here:

Yeah I'm thinking it's a jealousy thing. Debating whether to just get it fixed or go ahead and replace it with the Roush front fascia I have been looking at.
Had mine vandalized last week. Someone deliberately slammed a grocery buggy into the front right side of my front bumper then for good measure kicked my front right fog light in.
It took less than an hour to install and most of that was removing panels for the first time. Think if I had to do it again I could do it in 30 minutes. It was not hard at all.
I ordered the kit from HextallS550 here at the forum. He offers a Mustang6G forum member discount I believe. The price...
Thanks to Hextall and Chris I am now rocking Sync3 in my 2015 GT and loving it. I absolutely hated the old My Ford Touch system. Thanks again guys and if anybody is on the fence I'd highly recommend them if you are thinking of doing the same swap.
I've found body fit seems hit or miss in a few spots. The worst thing? Corrosion on the front edge my 2015's hood that apparently isn't covered by the warranty unless it eats a hole in my hood.
No, but a quick look at the site lead me to the right part...

Thanks for the help! Been trying...
I'm 49 and I've raised a family and have driven family sedans all my life. I'm now at the point where I can buy a Mustang for enjoyment and not worry about it financially. So far all I've gotten is compliments from folks of all ages. At this point in my life I'm in the IDGAS phase.
