My Whipple has arrived (thank you Lethal Performance). Unfortunately, it wil be sitting on the floor until my car is back from the dealer. I have the vibration issue between 50 and 70 mph that is another thread in here. They have replaced the driveshaft but to no avail, and now they are...
As of today the car has been at the dealer for 1 week and 1 day. They told me yesterday they were checking the driveline run out and see if it was in spec. They will then talk with Ford and decide if ring and pinion needs to be replaced or the whole rear end.
What it sounds like is that they...
My car is currently back at the dealer. Driveshaft was replaced and solved nothing.
They are bringing in the Ford Rep (for whatever that is worth) to help identify and correct the condition. I was provided a loaner so can only wait and see.
Just had my drive shaft replaced and did not solve the problem. Will bring car back to dealer next week and leave so they can contact Ford and come up with some kind of resolution.:frusty:
vibration
Just came back from having the driveshaft replaced.....:frusty: did not take care of the vibration. Will be taking the car back next week and getting a loaner so they can try and determine what is causing this.
Just came back from my dealer and a new drive shaft has been ordered. Hopefully this solves the problem but reading all the posts will have to wait and see.
I only have 800 miles, but I did notice it from the onset. Just wasn't convinced it wasn't something in my head. Just recently had a friend in the car and asked what he thought. So it has been there since the car was picked up.
Does everyone who has this problem have 20" wheels?
vibration
My car has 800 miles and definitely have noticed the same issue. I wondered if it was the noise pipe or balance of wheels, etc. Just made an appointment for Friday this week to have it checked out.
How did you launch your car. Off of idle, brake torque, traction control on/off?
A friend of mine with a Camaro and a whipple actually used 2nd gear to come off the line. (it is an automatic as well) Best he could do was 11:98 about 125 mph.
Would love to see your time slips with the 60'...
Thanks for the reply, so starting, shifting, etc. it runs just like stock?
Do you plan on getting you car on a dyno anytime soon?
Any videos of your car with the Whipple?
Wondering if anyone with an auto has installed the Whipple and looking for feedback, comments, etc. on the unit.
Dyno numbers and did you utilize the Whipple tune provided.
Today I get to pick up my GT and wondered if we have any Chicagoland people who are into planning events. Drives to Lake Geneva, Union Grove Dragstrip, Byron Raceway, Galena, Wisconsin back roads etc.
I know the Camaro Chicago group does a pretty good job of this and hope someone out here...
