i've been meaning to post but keep forgetting... are the fog lights on the gt performance pack pretty useless in lighting up the road in front of the car? i can barely notice they come on, just a tiny bit of extra light on the far right/left side of the hood when looking forward. i might not...
this time around i'm going to order a set of pads/rotors for the track, keep my factory stuff for the street.
so for rotors, they get pretty hot (ha!) is a factory replacement going to be good enough? aka a cheap set of rotors :)
my local track is road america. on my last gt i had wilwood...
finally did it - today! did some errands and noticed 995 miles so i went for a country-drive and let her loose a little. got up to 85mph frequently, maybe touched 90. stop and start, 6 or 6.5k shifts, very nice. man i really enjoy this car. (posted over in tranny area) the shifts when...
first, sorry to all those with issues...
ok, so my mt82 (this on the '13 gt) really notchy for the duration of a 15 min ride through town... after that sometimes i head out for a country-ride, 30-40 miles of keeping revs above 3k, bursts up to 6k for shifting and just generally fun driving...
Uses Ford Service Part FR3Z-1125-A or Motorcraft BRF1460 Brake pads
Uses Ford Serivce Part FR3Z-1125-D or Motorcraft BRRF246 brake rotors
from several sources on the internet, these are the pads and rotors of the 6 piston brembo pads and rotros on the gt performance pack.
now, wonder who...
R.A. is my home track. I'm only an hour away and fortunate enough to get down many times either at a pro race or spectating at HPDE's. '13/'14 i did my first track days.
one of the coolest things is to see events like 'the hawk', vintage cars, everything you'd want to see. well once or twice...
we are missing # of gallons used on the trip-o-meter. that sucks. on the '13 gt i found it to be darn accurate, way more than the miles-to-empty or the needle. to the tune of 30 extra miles driven on E, one point the red gauge turned back to white haha.
having lived through the late 70's - 90's, seems like a lot of the car designs since then are rounded-off, smoothed and generally uninspired. not you look at it and your gut says "i want to drive that!"
ferrari, since the enzo and a little before, just wasn't like the 308s and 288gto or f40...
hello. i'm at 258 miles. it's been dead cold, though today up to 23 deg F. i've done a few hard stops in a row from 50mph with maybe 1/4 mile max driving inbetween, 4-5 in a row and i'm not noticing a good transfer on my front rotors. the back rotors look like they have a nice (although...
there's a product out there called pocket radar (pocketradar.com). the general purpose product is a k-band speed detector said to be able to pick up a car 1/2 mile away +/- 1mph. is it ok to use this type of device at a professional race say indycar or tudor united?
who would have thought. what a great idea. i guess this process started around 1957. according to this website: http://www.jmpforming.com/blog/hydroforming/history-of-hydroforming.htm
here's a great youtube video explaining and demonstrating it: [ame]
so, the new gt's are quiet inside no? sounds like it's quieter than previous gen? i used to have a '13 gt and got what was known as "gt500" mufflers and man did i like the sound of those!
two questions, what is the equivalent of that now, the...
it's starting to grow on me! (i have a hard time with change hehe)
feels tighter all around (despite being on winter tires), smaller steering wheel compared to the '13 gt i had, lower seating position but ugh, about the same headroom, seems like better outward visibility. way more support...
thought i'd post up that i got a polaroid cube as an xmas gift from my brother. i like it, the colors are better than competitors, but it is not as "pro" quality overall or options as the others. in fact though it's hard to argue spending $100 more if you're more casual user like i am.
it has...
can't remember if i checked yesterday or wednesday, but tonight my window sticker comes up! my blend date is 01/04/2016! so what exactly is that? that's the day the car is scheduled to hit the assembly line and get assembled?
so how many mustangs a day come off the line? how many are on the...
