My original dealer offered me those back in Oct when I placed the order so they've been available for some time.
Regarding the shifter, from what I've read here it's not worth the money.
Edge (and Formula R before that) has been my oil of choice for years but when researching for the Mustang found it doesn't meet the required specs. Even Castrol don't recommend using it. Their recommended oil as Magnatec 5W-30 A5 IIRC. There's another thread here discussing suitable oils. As Red...
That's just it, I was buying 2 vehicles, total value approaching $120k plus ongoing servicing etc not to mention I've bought for myself and others literally dozens of new cars over the years and guess where I'll never be taking anyone. I've already got one friend just going to start looking for...
Mate, I never even got as far as starting to check the car so the check list didn't come into it. All of the issues were in what they did pre delivery and their customer service. I'm not going to go into details as I don't want to dwell upon it. All I'll say is I'm not happy with Thomson Ford...
Pretty disappointed right now.
Finally went to pick up the car today only to find it wasn't as I'd asked. Not going to bother going into details as it really doesn't make any difference to the result. Bottom line is I got the deposit back and walked. I just couldn't pay that price and not have...
I think they have just a combined product now. I used to use the two old ones many years ago on my MX-5 rear window. Would highly recommend them but I haven't seen them for years. New one is probably worth a try as it is still intended for plastic polishing.
As has been mentioned the panel can definitely be replaced so your dealer just doesn't want to bother. Consider lodging a complaint with FordAU.
Having said that I'm 100% confident it could be polished out. Anything can be polished, the trick is finding the right method of application along...
I haven't been sleeping well for a few weeks. Lot going on with family and work so really didn't need the hassle I've had with picking up the Mustang. It better be right. I'm worried about how much of the dash and centre console needs to be pulled out to replace that switch. Lots of opportunity...
Yeah, spoke to Dan today. They've got a new version of Wheely Clean coming soon with improved odour. I'm also moving largely to their products with a few exceptions.
25% off at Super Cheap Auto until midnight Wed with coupon Mayhem so if you use any of the off the shelf products it might be a good chance to stock up. I grabbed some of the Bowdens Own Snow Job which I've been wanting to try as I can't find a review of it anywhere. See if it works better than...
Like you I've been a Meguiars user for a couple of decades but I've been moving towards Bowdens Own due to the fact they're Aussie and I believe are producing top shelf products.
There's a big detailing thread already here in the Aussie section so I suggest taking a look through that...
Grr, faulty start switch means I won't be picking the car up tomorrow so now planned for Wed. At this rate Tarago will be back with the next load before I pick it up.
EDIT: Not surprisingly, despite talking to them this morning (Tues) and telling them I wasn't confident in it being delivered...
COTUS stops working for a while daily. I assume it's some kind of maintenance window. On top of that it really doesn't mean all that much for our vehicles anyway so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
Hope you're doing well. 6 weeks will go pretty quick. Plenty of time to instruct the wife on how you want it all detailed ready for your first drive :D
Very odd that they'd do paint protection before resolving the issues. It means a second trip to have that one panel done after it's resprayed...
Picking up next Tues now. Could've got it this afternoon but too late in the day and have a very busy weekend already. I'm not going to rush through it and miss something so a few more days won't really matter.
